Our firelighters take the chore out of starting a fire in your fireplace or wood stove by eliminating the need for kindling or paper. To use, simply store the included handmade cast iron wand with firestone in the fuel filled Firelighter. When ready to start your fire, place the wand under your logs and light. The firestone will burn for approximately 10 to 15 minutes, eliminating the need to "build" your fire. The hand thrown firelighters measure approximately 8 inches tall, excluding the wand. We recommend using only lamp oil for the fuel, which is readily available. The firestones last virtually forever, but if you were to need a replacement they are available at your local fireplace store. The wand is handmade by a local blacksmith.
