This thing has been great. It is very difficult for microphones to be loud enough when they are sitting on your desk and your mouth is far away, but with it attached to your headphones it picks up everything and is very clear. Great for voice calls. Now I can use my comfy headphones and have a good mic at the same time.

I'm writing this review as an update because i notice most of the other reviews seem to be a little old and didn't really address the questions i needed answered before I purchased. after hours of research, i still felt like i was taking a risk by buying this, so here goes my attempt to help some people before buying it: First and foremost, I purchased these to use on an XBOX ONE with my brand new BEATS PRO HEADPHONES that i bought a few days ago at a black friday sale. I have BOTH microphone adapters for my controllers, that is to say, I have the adapters with and without the keyboard. I figured since my Samsung Galaxy headphones worked great, a pair of Beats would be even better. i was wrong. I was sorely disappointed to find that the original microphone cable would not transmit the sound of my voice, and it felt like i had just wasted a few hundred bucks. Especially after i asked around at best buy and the associates told me that beats headphones wouldn't work with anything besides a Beats brand cable. That seemed odd, so i did more research of my own... which brings me to the meat and potatoes of my review. after viewing a few videos on YouTube, i stumbled upon this cable. Let me tell you right out the gate that IT WORKS PERFECTLY WITH MY BEATS AS IS. the quality is actually much better than I had even anticipated and I didn't even need to buy any extra adapters. Just plug and play. that's why I'm giving it 5 stars. Definitely worth the 30 dollar investment to make good use of a set of headphones you already have instead of buying another set of Two or Three hundred dollar headphones to achieve the very same quality. Now that we've got that settled, I'd like to address some questions I had that i couldn't find an answer to. Here's what I found for those of you who may be wondering the same things (Please keep in mind, this my experience with BEATS PRO. outcome may vary depending on whatever headphones you're looking to augment with this microphone:) The Y cable that youtube and amazon recommend you purchase alongside this microphone is NOT NECESSARY because it plugs into the xbox controller perfectly even without it. The microphone is built with a regular jack that has the THREE BANDS on it, just like the microphone that came with my Samsung Galaxy. I should also note that it comes with a Y cable that converts the jack for use with a computer or anything else that might need that sort of thing. Something else that was recommended to purchase alongside this microphone is an adapter for the jack that plugs into the headsets themselves. it's supposed to convert the TWO BAND jack into one with THREE BANDS. This is also NOT NECESSARY. I bought the adapter and tested the microphone with and without it.Turns out the headphones worked perfectly with and without the adapter. there was no real sound difference that I could notice, so it seems to just be a waste of 5 bucks for me. whatever though, better safe than sorry when it comes to these things. As for sound quality, this cable seems to be just as good as the original Beats brand cable that came with the headphones themselves. I'm super impressed with these, and I hope this review helps somebody looking to convert their beats into an awesome pair of gaming headphones.

I initially bought these for my Astro A40's because the microphone is horrible. Turns out the A40's don't work because Astro decided to use a longer 5 pole 3.5 jack which didn't work with this product. A shame I couldn't find an adapter either. So instead I am temporarily using the mixamp with the original Skullcandy Crusher wireless. I tried using the Crusher ANC, but the 3.5 jack is on the right side of the headphones and I didn't like having to rotate the microphone boom like that. The jack fits nicely though, it doesn't feel loose and it doesn't swing around. So far the sound quality is good, it does utilize the bass drivers in the Crushers. I mainly bought these because the microphone is incredible. Most programs I use such as Discord or Xbox party chat have filtering, but it does let a lot of background noise through normal voice recordings. Here are my cons so far: The braided cable makes a lot of noise and transmits into the microphone which can be heard with Astro's sidetone (feature that lets you hear yourself) enabled. There is no indicator when you are muted. The mute slider is not that good, I thought the logo was a giant mute button. You have to use a stand or be careful while laying your headphones down as this mic doesn't flip up or retract. There is some hiss noise at higher volume. The boom arm doesn't seem to have a lot of retention to hold it's position, might be an issue in the future.

I bought this at the same time as I purchased the V-MODA Crossfade M-100 headphones and I'm super happy I did. Adding this to that wonderful headset took it to the next level allowing me to retire my current headset as my daily VoIP headset. I'm in IT support so I spend most of my day with a headset on my head and I do a ton of gaming again where I use a lot of voice programs as well as voice attack / speech recognition software and this mic boom works awesome. I'm coming from an Astro A50 wireless headset as well as a Razer Blackshark, both of which I love for their respective qualities. The V-MODA M-100 headset with this V-MODA mic boom out-preforms all of my other headset / mic combinations I currently own. Well worth the money. The cable is like a piece of string, meaning it's got almost zero wire feeling to it, meaning it's super flexible making it a joy to wrap up when not using it. The connectors are all gold plated and the sound quality is amazing. I have been polling people for a day asking if they notice any difference in my mic quality and all of them either said there was no difference or it was better. I'm happy with the no difference because I bought the V-MODA M-100 headset for the sound quality but was worried that the additional mic boom would be sub-standard in my voice chat programs. Again, coming from a $300 Astro A50, I didn't want my sound quality to go backward, and it did not. In the cases where it sounded better I can attribute that to the fact that you can get this mic much closer to your mouth than with the Astro A50 meaning there is a more intimate feeling to your voice with the mic closer. If you have a V-MODA or compatible headset and you're wondering if this mic will work, just go ahead and click on buy because you won't be disappointed.

This product is what every gamer or even non-gamers need if they want to use a microphone with their quality headphones. It truly turns any headphones with a 3.5mm (or even 2.5mm if you can mod it, which I will explain more about) into the best headset ever. First off, if you do use something like the mod-mic, you're sticking something onto the headphones, it will be a mess if you want to take it off and clean all the gunk off. Plus it adds two cords that dangle and get snagged on everything beside you or under your computer chair or something extra to trip on, just annoying. This thing adds a microphone but also keeps everything to one high quality braided cord. Secondly, this thing sounds amazing. I mean that in both ways, the voice on the mic sounds great and no loss of quality on the headphones. Like, legit, it sounds super clear. V-MODA did a great job in designing this for quality and practicality. How nobody else has made something like this yet that sounds this good is beyond me. It has a mute toggle and volume scroll on the line, which is awesome. The mic is so easily adjustable, feels like it would be annoying and flop down a lot because of how easy it moves, but it really doesn't. They also made it so you can plug it into your phone or anything that uses a 3.5mm jack that can use mic and headset or just headset. Or you can put that single 3.5mm jack into the included splitter for computer use. They pretty much thought of everything. Now, as other reviewers have said, I got this for my Sennheiser 558 headphones (it also works for the 598 and 518 the same way.) So because they use 2.5mm, I had to buy a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter (I got it on amazon, just get a 3 pack as some don't work right and cut out sound, if none work, send it back and try again) and you have to open the headphones up and remove the little black locking mechanism out so you can plug the adapter in it. I used a tiny piece of gorilla tape to make the adapter a little larger so it fits in snug without ever falling out. Also, they include a 1 year warranty. I'm a V-MODA fan now. Next set of headphones I get will be V-MODA. If you're debating on getting this, don't. Just do it, it's best thing you will ever do for your headphones. Pros: - Great sound quality - Single cord so no worry to have to cable manage it - In line mic mute and volume wheel - Can just spin the mic around if you don't want it near your face, no need to flip it up or anything. - Can use in phone/music player with mic or on computer with included splitter - Easily detach it if you want to plug another cord in. - If the cord does get caught on something while you get up or are moving around, it will simply just unplug out of your headphones instead of potentially damaging the headset or cord - Bends any way you'd like super easy but holds to it's shape - 1 year warranty Cons: - I truly can't think of a downside to this Apologies for the flash in the pictures, I did this review pretty late at night. Shows the little 2.5mm to 3.5 adapter with it.

I initially bought a different inline boom mic, because it was slightly cheaper and had better reviews. I guess the reviews on that one must have been fake, because after looking into it it seems they change the product name every few months once people inevitably realize that it's garbage. That one failed within two days, so I decided to give this one a try. I did have to buy a 3.5mm to 2.5mm adapter to get it to work with the M50x, and slightly modified both the headphones and the adapter, but now everything fits together perfectly. I was hesitant about buying this one considering a lot of reviews seem to say it rarely lasts a year, but from what I've heard the customer service and warranty are pretty good (plus the additional $4 4 year warranty I bought off Amazon), and the absence of literally any viable alternatives meant that this is what I went with. It's been perfect for my use. The cord itself is a braided cable that feels high quality, and it's so long that I usually keep it coiled up in the little velcro loop it comes in. The inline volume/mute controls are super nice to have, and basically not optional when it comes to gaming for me, because it takes about 30 seconds and 5 menus to change the volume through the PS4 software. The mic is very high quality; when I tested it on the Mac compared to the built in "studio-quality three-mic array" this actually sounded better, and didn't pickup much/any fan noise nearby. The audio quality through the cord seems to be identical to that of the cord that comes with the headphones. I'll probably take away a star if it does end up breaking anytime soon, but even if I have to deal with replacing this every six months I'll probably keep using it considering the next best alternative is a dedicated gaming headset or USB microphone with a boom arm, both of which would cost upwards of $150 to get similar quality to this one, and would be much less convenient. I'd definitely recommend it. EDIT: Removed two stars After a few months of use the mute switch has stopped working completely. For a while it would just make me mostly silent instead of muting me completely, and now it does nothing at all. Their warranty probably covers this but after filing a claim their website says I'm supposed to ship it to them, wait for them to attempt to repair it, then wait for them to ship back the repaired or replaced microphone and that it could take 6-8 weeks, which sounds ridiculous to me. I've emailed them requesting an advance replacement as the mic still works mostly fine and I don't want to go two months without anything, so I guess I'll see what happens. Otherwise the product is still pretty good, but this issue drops it down from the original 5 stars to 3 or maybe 4 depending on the customer service.

As a non-gamer, I bought this for video voice overs, skype, podcasting and for use with my video camera. Now, I think this won't work with my DSLR or Canon Vixia video camera, because they require a "line level" input from a powered microphone such as the Vid-Pro lavalier microphone sold on Amazon, which takes a button cell battery and has a tiny amplifier in it. Cons: The 1/8" Y cable that comes with this is terrible. It plugs in very tight, and will never come out. But it feels permanent, once plugged in, and barely comes back out. I felt like I might break the cable trying to remove the 2 little 90 degree plugs from my computer. I would suggest buying a new headset microphone adapter Y cable, for $5 on Amazon that has straight plugs. The cord is nice and braided which feels nice, but it does create a little bit of noise when you brush it against a zipper on a sweater or coat. Not a big deal. The microphone picks up a very slight echo speaking into my custom cubicle style work desk, unless I turn it so the microphone holes are facing up and down, which completely removes any echo. The microphone won't work with my Scarlett preamp designed for large professional microphones. Pros: This V-Moda microphone sounds more clear and accurate than a professional XM8500 stage microphone I recently purchased, which sounds very dense, muffled and muddy in comparison to the V-Moda microphone. After seeing how tiny the V-Moda was, holding it in my hand, I was extremely skeptical that it could reproduce the Human voice properly without seriously distorting the frequency and tone like many other tiny non-powered microphones or cheap headset microphones. Well, the V-Moda BoomPro is not an ordinary cheap microphone. It was engineered by real sound engineers, because it blocks background sound better than my $100 studio microphone, and sounds almost as clear. The V-Moda is more a bass and mid range microphone, picking up the lows very well, without picking up the really low lows that cause distortion and muddiness. It seems to have just the right frequency response for picking up the Human voice. It does not pick up the ultra low rumbling frequencies or the ultra high shrill background noises. Somehow, the itty-bitty tiny little microphone that is nearly invisible, it records big booming sound, and reproduces my speaking voice with clarity and authority. The V-Moda is worth every penny, because it is as good as advertised. Observations and Technical Breakdown: The V-Moda doesn't reproduce the Human voice accurately. None of the microphones I've ever used sound totally natural. Microphones convert your voice into an electronic signal, so there will always be some kind of coloration of the tone of your voice, music recorded in the background, etc. The V-Moda is a little bit heavy in the low mid range area, and a little light in the high end frequency spectrum. It's designed intentionally this way to prevent background noise and to prevent shrill unnecessary high pitched sounds from being picked up by the microphone. I am perfectly happy with the sound tone of the V-Moda for Skype calls and phone calls, as it's nearly perfect. Using default settings, the V-Moda sounds more clear and less muddy than my Behringer XM8500 microphone, which was pretty shocking considering the size difference. I've heard many small microphones that sound so muffled and terrible that they are mostly useless .The V-Moda sounds very similar to my inexpensive studio microphone, an AKG P120 condenser microphone, which uses 48 volts and a preamp, a Scarlett 2i2 2nd generation. For video voice over work, the V-Moda is too mid-bass heavy for my taste. Surprisingly the V-Moda microphone seems to automatically block out frequencies below 100hz, preventing any heavy bass noises from ruining the sound. But if you want your voice to sound absolutely natural, you'll need to do some editing in a sound editor or use some kind of an equalizer. This is for people who are using this to make professional recordings. Now, again I was skeptical that this microphone could be good enough to make a professional recording. But indeed it can. You will need to do a little editing. I'll tell you how I was able to do it. First, you'll need a new computer sound card. Unless you you have a really good internal sound card in your computer, or a professional recording studio, you might get too much line noise from the cheap internal microphone port on your laptop or computer. Every computer is different. However, my laptop and my PC computer both have a lot of line noise when I use a microphone on the factory microphone input jack. I tried using the V-Moda on a Sound Blaster Audigy sound card and there was absolutely no audible line noise or hissing. This is called signal to noise ratio. Add-on sound cards that you purchase separately may be better than the internal sound card, so if you get line noise, I would recommend either buying a Sound Blaster Audigy (Open your computer and check for open PCI & PCI express slots). They make PCI or PCI Express sound cards. Or you can get a USB sound card. I found a really good PCI sound card that also doubles as a professional headphone amplifier. It's called the ASUS Xonar DG 5.1 Channels PCI Interface Sound Card. You can get it here on Amazon: http://amzn.to/2AVdJQm This ASUS DG sound card is designed for headsets, it has a very high signal strength so it doesn't have any line noise, and it has a built in amplifier to power expensive headphones. People report a noticeable improvement using this sound card with headphones. The ASUS DG sound card actually has an adjustable output for different types of headphones, so it can work with cheap headphones or professional 600 ohm headphones which usually require an expensive external headphone amplifier. You can configure it for different headphone OHM ratings. I've never seen this feature on any other sound cards, especially internal factory sound cards. Sound Editing: Back to the V-Moda microphone. What makes a good microphone good is it's ability to maintain the information being recorded. If you lose certain frequencies or distort the voice too much, you cannot use sound editing to fix the sound. No amount of editing can fix a bad microphone, because the sound is lost before it gets recorded. The V-Moda handles sound editing extremely well. Again, I was shocked. It's not as good as my AKG P120, but it's close enough after editing, that no normal person would ever notice a difference. The V-Moda does cut off a lot of the high frequencies and it does boost some of the low-mids, naturally, due to its design. You won't be able to magically recreate the missing high frequency sounds, but for voice recordings, that's perfectly fine and even desired in most situations. High frequency sounds are rarely desired in voice recordings, and the most popular radio broadcast microphones today have a sound tone that is very similar to this V-Moda microphone, with muted treble. The V-Moda does't have an absolutely accurate sound tone, it sounds a little bit amplified in the mid bass area, but with some sound equalizer adjustments in a sound editor program, you can make the tone sound more natural, just by reducing some of the mid bass. If you just get a free program like Audacity, then you can record your voice, then edit the sound using the built in equalizer to get the exact sound you want. I am convinced that the V-Moda records with enough quality that you can safely edit the sound recording without losing a significant amount of the audio integrity. In conclusion: The V-Moda sounds slightly muted, slightly muffled, and slightly boosted in the lower-mid bass region. But it appears to be perfectly tailored to picking up the Human voice, and blocking out things happening in the background. It's obviously a very carefully engineered microphone, and is shockingly good for the price. Unlike other microphones which sound wretched and painful to the ears, this V-Moda microphone has a very smooth, very warm sound tone, that is very clear. I am so happy to know that engineers actually engineered this microphone, unlike 99% of the other microphones out there in this price range which appear to be random accidents, and have no ability to recreate the Human voice. You'll need sound editing to remove some of the mid-bass in order to make this microphone record more accurately, but with some sound editing, I think you can make this microphone sound good enough that you won't need to ever buy a more expensive professional grade microphone. I would consider this a professional microphone for home users and hobbyists. If you need something better than this, than I would suggest getting a dynamic microphone like the Shure SM57 with an extra heavy duty gray foam wind sock, a Shure SM7, or an AKG D5. Then you'll need a preamp like a Scarlett 2i2 USB, and a 15 foot XLR microphone cable. If you need super fine sensitivty and detail, then purchase a 48 volt powered condenser microphone like the AKG P120, and a microphone stand with a boom arm on it, then you can hear a pin drop, literally. You'll want to buy a Sound Blaster Audigy or the ASUS DG sound card if you are using a PC computer, if you hear too much white noise in the background in your recordings. Start first by turning down the gain, and looking for updated drivers for your factory sound card. Edit: 11/23/2017 I received my Asus Xonar DG sound card for my 5 year old motherboard with a PCI slot on Windows 7. The sound card microphone input jack used with the V-Moda BoomPro is absolutely crystal clear, without a trace of any line noise or white noise. This V-Moda microphone sounds even better now, more natural sounding, and even more clear. I am shocked at how much better a $30 sound card can make the microphone sound. If you are having sound issues or having too much line noise, or not enough gain, try getting a new sound card. V-Moda vs. Golden Age Project D2 microphone. I bought a new dynamic professional microphone and tested it against the V-Moda yesterday. The Golden Age Project D2 sounds much worse than then V-Moda BoomPro. The same for the XM8500, which sounds much worse, but better than the D2. Again, I am so surprised. The D2 microphone was $150, but it sounds like you are speaking into a plastic bucket, compared to the natural clarity of the V-Moda. The V-Moda so far, sounds better than 2 other non-powered microphones I've tried which are far more expensive. The ASUS sound card is not perfect, it has caused my computer to lock up a few times with a blue screen, if I try to use my Scarlett Focusrite at the same time, to record multiple devices at the same time. It also takes a moment to begin recording when you engage the sound card, because it has to charge up the capacitors. The Asus sound card software allows you to do realtime "EQ" adjustment of your microphone input, and it sounds excellent, with an improvement in the high frequency response of the Vmoda mic, which, for the price of the sound card ($30) is truly amazing. With the treble turned up, the Vmoda sounds even more clear and crisp. Conclusion: Get a new computer sound card, and don't worry about buying a professional condenser or studio microphone. Get the V-Moda.

I'm sitting here outside and I figured that I would actually give a proper review to this microphone because I've seen it getting praised and this is not deserve that one star that I had to give it and I'm going to explain why and this will save you the trouble and hassle of buying one and perhaps exchanging it and trying again like I did. The build quality is very flimsy you can tell it's made to break very easily but that has nothing to do with it I'm very careful with my stuff trust me I mean there's a lot of stress points on there and I didn't stress a single thing out and I had the first one for 28 days and I had my replacement for one night I got the same amount of use of the both the first one I bought I tested it it sounded great probably use it for about just an hour just to test the levels and see how you know basically what I did was I wanted to use it on my Mobius headset because it's just not worth buying a Penrose just to get a USB key so they strip way too much out of it and they used like a really terrible chip set so I mean if you're looking at the Mobius don't be enticed by the Penrose because it's just a Band-Aid version of the Mobius for example well anyone who has a way to connect Bluetooth I guess you can use dongles but my LGC too and I can hear everything beautiful wirelessly over Bluetooth so I was like well I might as well get a boom mic and it sounded amazing when I bought one last month and March of 2023 and then I tried it like 28 Days Later two days before you can return it and I could I tested it I want to go send like a message without actually sending the message so I was like I play it back and hear my voice and my voice was like all loud and staticky as if like you tuning a radio dial and you're not quite a the right Mark for the station and I would say probably got an hour and a half of use same thing happened in one session cuz I wasn't going to go weeks without using it this time the very first night the same thing happened so I'm leaving to see the point in recommending the windscreens I got for him somebody recommended really good windscreens on here but I mean the boom X pro I was not enticed to buy a lot of reviews are said it wasn't as good as the first one microphone wise and I heard how it sounds this thing is really good it doesn't pick up any fan noise or any of that kind of stuff the problem is I feel like a couple hours of use with no tension no stress on the cables anything it's just craps out it sounds so good though at first but it's really really flimsy you can't even put like you know the slang term you can't put like a furry dead cat on the end of it it looks different than it is it's not I'm telling you I handled it so delicately I mean I even clipped the you know the controls not right on my neck cuz you don't need to but like above my you know my pack like right on just I just you know pinch my shirt and it had plenty of Slack there was no way it could you know get messed up from showing your head it did what it was supposed to do however it only sounded and did it properly on the microphone side of it was is that that's the whole point of it I mean so the other people can hear you and you know anyone nowadays with a lot of smart TVs I know this dongles and stuff like that Bluetooth but the best the easiest way at least for me that I've come across simply if you're headphones can connect to your TV then you're already feeling sound to it and I was really enjoying the fact that I can just you know use the Bluetooth cuz I've done it before like watch movies and stuff so it was an alternative so that I'm getting rid of the optical cable and all that and also you're not getting the cheaper headset and by the way I did get a pen Rose against my better judgment first at one time and they're complete you're getting under those last but you're just paying for that key I would imagine the same on PS5 Mobius is what I wanted and actually I want one more pair from them and that's the LCD X's like $1,000 ones I don't a consumer doesn't need higher than that to be honest you know someday I'll buy them cuz I like I really like the drivers and they do a better job than the steel series or whatever that they loan them out to if you will or whatever so but no stay away from this microphone seriously don't even bother cuz you're just going to get mad if you don't if I waited two more days it's only $20 so I wouldn't have been mad about that I probably would have bought another one anyway but I had two days because I mean I tested it it was fine I never touched it I didn't wrap it up funny or anything like that I just got very loose and just kept it off to the side where it never even got touched I just wasn't playing my Xbox where I was talking to people and I wasn't playing my Xbox a while so I can Nintendo switch and other things so I mean all I can tell you is the when I got the next one I didn't get any more use out of it in the first time it's just I used it for the same amount of time the first night I mean normally so these people that are reviewing it like especially like YouTubers are only reviewing it probably after they just put it like just started using it you know what I mean I see a couple people said there's after 5 years so they must have got really lucky but based off my experience their track record you know it's made in China it's very flimsy I'm telling you I had the perfect wind screen on it you would not believe it and I think the only directional Mike will sound better I can't speak on behalf of the boom Pro X but I would assume it'll crap out the same way on you I know it doesn't sound as good and also you can make sure you block the sound if you like have a air conditioner or fan running by since it's on the directional you can turn it up and down like instead of left and right just slightly you know what I mean you instead of having it the microphone pick up cuz it's only in two sides and that'll insure no nothing gets through that windscreen all you need is it's just a little black windscreen you don't need anything heavy nothing you can't even put some heavy on if you wanted to hang out behind your chin all I'm saying is you know it's up to you ultimately in the end and I just saw why not leave a review and I'm talking to my phone so I hope it came out legibly I don't want to type all of this because I am actually looking for something else but I'm not using Amazon I'm using the internet and you know maybe I'll buy it off Amazon but maybe not Amazon is typically I mean nothing's not everything passes a plus quality control I don't believe in my heart that Amazon sells you a plus stuff like Aretha sort of Best Buy probably does Walmart and other services like Lowe's is a little bit better than Home Depot I know this for I just do trust me you know it's just like like I wouldn't buy a battery like I bought a cream of batteries yeah 12 volt and you could have got it for $37 for you know free shipping here I paid a $57 and got it from scooterpro.com or whatever and I bet you wouldn't probably already had the acid in it I mean you know what I mean some of the tents might be a little incorrect cuz I'm talking I'm not looking at my phone it's it's enough for you to understand just don't buy the microphone don't do it this is going to keep making more of them put it let him go out of business because they suck they really do who cares if they have a one year warranty you're going to take it back to Amazon if you use it for a couple hours of First day it's going to break on you probably you know maybe not the very first day like it did for me but like both times it would have broke the first day if I use the other one didn't wait like 27 days in between it would have broke at the same exact time so I mean and I can tell because when I send the message you can see the the sound wave and I listen to it back and it was just all scratchy and staticky and extra loud and not the way it's supposed to sound then that's not how it sounds when you first plug it in and try it and I haven't so you know maybe you'll get lucky I don't know how that one person had a review so they had it for 5 years but I'm not I'm not saying that they're lying but I'm not saying you're going to break in an hour and a half but two of mine did I bet you it breaks you know if you use it regularly it will probably bring for the 30 days I'm sure of it it's crap it's it sounds awesome it that does everything you want to do but but it's made like crap and it turns into crap really fast BUYER BEWARE. I returned like literally 45 seconds later just to clarify when I was talking about ratings and products and whatnot I didn't have anything to do with this mic this might sucks buy it from V motive it's going to do the same thing I guarantee it it does sound crisp clean and clear like someone says but it doesn't last it does not last it'll just for most people I would assume or just about everyone advise it is going to frustrate him especially if they decide to give him another chance and get another one does the same exact thing that's why I'm leaving the review it's a safe other people that hassle there's other Mike's out there that cost a little bit more I want to look into the mod mic and stuff take it easy
