I got a cheap scrapper that was $13 a few years ago. It was much smaller. It was magnetic, and I had to tie a string on both pieces while cleaning. I've used it a few times inside the tank, but I've barely used it. I decided to get this one and it's much stronger and more effective. This size covers more surface area and it comes with a scrapper. I found it difficult learning how to flip the inside in the beginning. All I did was detach the outside piece from the glass so the inside can float a bit. You basically want to lose some of the magnetic attraction. Then I flipped the outside handle 180 degrees. Once I did that, I brought the inside piece closer, and it began flipping to the other side. I was able to use the scrapper side. I repeat the same steps to use the other side. I got used to it.
