School Zone Math Basics 4 Workbook: 64 Pages, 4th Grade, Multiplication, Division Symmetry, Decimals, Equivalent Fractions, Ages 9-10 (I Know It! Book Series) Review: Great Book - I purchased this for my 7 year old grandkids to help keep their math skills fresh while on summer break from school. It’s a helpful book of math problems, each page has simple yet clear instructions at the top of each page. As they progress through the book, the problems become slightly more challenging; which is what my grandkids like most ( along with the puzzles). I found the book to be definitely age appropriate; but challenging enough to make them want to complete more pages. Both children are not fans of math!! They are asking me for another book! The book provided great additional summer math practice while school is out; they will be ready for 4th grade math this year. This book provides problem solving for-addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals and more!! They can check their work at the end, there is also an “answer key” provided. Great value for the money!! Review: Decent Review Book, Not A Comprehensive 4th Grade Math book - I purchased this as a book of review worksheets for my daughter, who had 4th grade math last year. She inherited my minimal tolerance and appreciation for math, and I noticed heading into the start of this school year that she could use some extra support at home reviewing and practicing concepts, so this is one of two books I purchased for that before we move on to review supports for the stuff she's going over this year. This book has 59 actual worksheets, the remaining pages are answer keys. There is a brief overview of the concept being covered on the worksheets, and their are some color illustrations on many of the pages, mostly ocean related scenes, with a bat, penguin, and toucan thrown in for some bit of variety I guess. She said she liked the illustrations, that they were fun without being too distracting. My angel is about 40% through all of the work pages in it. She says that she finds the review explanation to be good enough for the most part. I did have to help her understand one of the exercises for regrouping on page 21, I do think the first section of that page could have had clearer instructions as to what they wanted the kiddos to do, but overall I also think that the explanations are good. I also think the challenge level isn't too high...which is good if you have a kiddo who's more intimidated by math then the dentist. It covers the necessary basics for the grade level, I don't mean to give the impression it does not. I would just say it's not going to challenge a kiddo who loves, lives, and breathes math to reach for the next level of thinking about the materials covered. What I personally think this book is best for is review or additional practice, it is not comprehensive enough for overall 4th grade math instruction, but I also don't think it was intended to be. So for us, it's doing what I needed it to and she dislikes it less then many other math supports I've purchased over the years...

Confidence builder
I purchased this because we switched districts but I quickly found out, that they are behind. I trusted the school system to help finished what I started it and it failed. So I decided to go back to basics to help build my child's confidence. In the new math era. The way they are teaching now is mind blowing. We are on page 11. In 4 days so far so good. Great buy.

Great basics
My daughter is going into 4th grade and she loves math! This workbook is perfect for her and will help get her ready over summer. This is definitely better than some of the math books I’ve seen.

Math tutor approved
My daughter used this book with a math tutor in the summer leading to 4th grade. Her tutor loved the simple/clear explanations and practice problems. My child hit the ground running and was well prepared when school started.

Perfect amount of questions covering the topics they learn in school. Great for afterschool homework. Questions are clear and worded appropriately, example questions and answers are good and straight forward.
