Das Buch gibt einen Überblick über die Geschichte der U-Boote bis heute. Natürlich gibt es weiterführende Literatur, die sich einzelnen U-Boot-Klassen weit ausführlicher widmet (etwa von S. Terzibaschitsch in "U-Boote der U.S. Navy", etc.).
