Can I operate this unit with only the horizontal line? And can I tweak it slightly out of level? Being level isn't necessary and is rarely desired.

What is the accuracy of the laser over a given distance- i.e., is it accurate to within 1/16" at 200'? Also, what is the maximum working distance?

Typically with line lasers most people are working under 50ft so our tested accuracy is 1/16" at 33ft. The max working range would be 165ft when using a receiver. If you are looking for long range layout and high accuaracy I would recommend the Leica ML90 or ML180. Thanks for choosing Leica.
