**Q: How can you mount these with door casing, not flush?**
A: I had to mount mine on the top of the door as I have a casing around my doors and they would not work on the side.

A: No, you would not want to use these as a door chime, because, (1) they do not make a pleasant chime, they make an irritating noise, and, (2) when they are triggered, they make the irritating noise until you turn it off.  But, they do make good door & window alarms..=
