When you purchase from a name like Strathmore you still get pride in workmanship, you get thick, white drawing paper. It is not for watercolor, or pastels, (although you could use it for that). For starters, I am a Strathmore fan all the way across the board. They don't release a paper I'm uncomfortable with or isn't a joy to work with. Strathmore drawing paper is a wonderful product for all dry media techniques... colored pencils, charcoal, charcoal pencil, pastels, etc. I like to mess around with different techniques and these papers cover my needs spectacularly!
