Makes identifying common component values and checking transistor gain easy for prototyping. Any bench should have one. I don't really get the complaints and to gripe about lack of instructions is humorous. It's literally one button. If you can't figure it out, perhaps electronics is not your thing. The CNC cut case takes a little work to assemble but nothing insurmountable and it's easily modified. I just threw in a small foam block to keep the battery from sliding around and called it done. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent electronics, subpar case *by M***R on Reviewed in the United States on 28 January 2024* This component tester works very well. I tried it on several components and it did an excellent job quickly and accurately measuring the component type and value. It even correctly measured a field effect transistor.The case it comes with is not terribly useful. It's finicky to assemble but sturdy once it's all together. The problem is that you have to disassemble the entire unit to replace the battery, and once in place the battery is unsecured so it rattles around.
