Absolutely incredible!
I've always wanted to read this book ever since I learned of its existence. The Bose mystery is a hot topic amongst Indians who care about national history, and give due importance to freedom fighters who helped us gain Independence. 2 days and 9 chapters in, my mind has been completely blown away. The author has pieced together a decade of painstaking investigative research under the banner of Mission Netaji, and has compiled his and his group's findings into this excellent book. It reads like a thriller novel, and Mr. Dhar has completely blown away the dubious attempts at covering up the truth of the Netaji conundrum by the GoI. The GoI may be incompetent in several areas due to bureaucratic red tape and inflated egos, but there is one thing it is extremely good at, and obsessive about: secrecy. Some records shown in the book had to be fought for, and are still secret. The book explores the three commissions made to inquire (the first two were shams) into Netaji's fate, and works out very logically, the most probable scenario: Bose escaped to the USSR. The author makes a sincere appeal to the Indian public to mount pressure on the GoI to declassify the Bose files in public interest (the PMO alone holds 33 of them!).All Netaji lovers, all those with true patriotic feeling, all those not blinded by dynastic politics: this book is a must read.

A book with many information to consider
This is an interesting book. It has many information with some copies of authentic letters included. The importance of the book to me was those letters. At many places I did differ with the author's interpretation. But at the same time it helped me to arrive at my own conclusion. The author took a very negative position with respect to Jawaharlal Nehru. The letters of Nehru did not give me any impression that he was part of some conspiracies against Netaji. The decision for not allowing/opposing Shah Nawaz Commission's visit to Taiwan , I viewed it as consistent with that time's ( 1950s) situation. India had a Kashmir problem since Aug 15, 1947. Probably, Nehru thought that it was not advisable to annoy Red China. In fact, I felt based on the facts presented in the book, Bidhan Roy, Subimal Dutt, and bunch of other Bengalis , including some family members of Netaji were part of "such" conspiracy, if there was any. Both in front of the Shah Nawaz and Khosla commission, many Bengalis who otherwise pretended to have great respect for Netaji played dubious roles. Shame! The role of respected B. C Roy was particularly shameful. It seemed to me that Netaji had many enemies as did Tagore or Vivekanada. We Bengalis are in a sense, coward, greedy, lazy, mean-minded, big-talk-little-action, quarrelsome and jealous bunch of people. That is why after the independence we lost our place and position we used to have in pre-independence India. The book helped me to understand clearly several things:1. Netaji didn't die of air crash2. Netaji was a selfless man. He never put his interest above India's interest. He was not merely a freedom fighter. He was a true worshiper of mother India and her people-- without any consideration of cast , religion, or creed. To him India was above anything and nothing was worth more than the nation.3. He was above any hate and self ambition. When Kamala Nehru was unwell and was sent to Vienna with daughter Indira Gandhi (nee Nehru), it was Subash Bose received them at Vienna and took good care of them. Netaji was a man of big heart!!! His training came from the Vedas and in true sense of Tantra through Ramakrishna Paramahansa and Swami Vivekanada.4. He was a fearless man and was a "Joddha Sanyasi"--- Warrior Saint. Many things we will have to leave for history to judge. Unfortunately, this will be one such event. Historians will argue and debate and, it seems to me, will never be able to come to any conclusion. Also, before we embark on allegation of any conspiracy let's step back and ask--- what Netaji would have wanted? It seems to me, from the facts presented in the book, he really wanted to fade away and disappear with no one trying to find him. That is very clear from all the facts presented in the book. In that case, conspiracy or not, really does not matter.Having said that, few things should be done to stop some unnecessary controversies and blame games. I am saying this to opine on few suggestions made in the book as next steps.1. There should be a DNA test or whatever test is possible to find out the truth of the ashes kept in the Renkoji temple. If it is of Netaji's, the grateful nation should do the needful and it also will put to rest all chattering including blame games. With DNA technology improving such test should be now possible.2. If ashes are not of Netaji's , Govt. of India should let some responsible honest ( assuming that there are some left in India)people to see all classified files on Netaji and make a determination. There should be short report out stating the facts and at the same time not implicate anyone in order to avoid a possible national unrest. We need to move on and at the same time find all facts. Let's not have another useless commission serving no purpose.3. All the letters of Gumnami Baba of Faizabad and of Netaji should be preserved. Science one day may come up with a technology that may help us to find truth using those letters.I hope Mission Netaji work towards those goals. The book is a must read for all those who would like to know more about Netaji. It is a unique work and should be preserved for generations to read. However, while reading this book reader should try to form his/her own opinion without prejudice using many wonderful facts presented. I commend the author for presenting us with many useful facts. This is no doubt the best book I have ever read on Netaji.

More understanding needed
I paid £28 for the book. But when I found out that the book is priced at 600 INR, I felt robbed. But after I read the book I have no complain given the sheer amount of hard work and dedication went in to writing it. The use of language is very skilful and flow is flawless. The writer gets my five stars. Yet I gave only one star.I did not understand purpose of this book. This book has described about deliberate disinformation by the people in power and that’s all. The writer has depended on various stories released by the authority rather than interviewing people. Of course, I understand that all most all related people are now dead. But some PM and MPs are still alive who have some true knowledge (yet kept quiet). So, I found both the topic and purpose lost its significant with time. The writer did not write why Bose was so important. What was Bose’s values and what he stood for? What would he have done if his INA achieved what they wanted? I expected at least one chapter dedicated on this matter. Instead entire book tries to decipher millions incorrect information the foreign influenced Government has scrupulously spread for people like the writer to find out. With recent development surrounding Koh-I-Noor diamond renders book useless. The Indian Supreme Court says that the diamond was a gift but the Government says otherwise to the very next day. So, it establishes once more that Indian courts are still Kangaroo courts serving purpose of Imperial masters. My grandfather fought ottomans in Egypt for British army in 1914 WW1. We heard from stories in our family that how Indian POWs in Japan were made to change sides to fill up INA. Later, some 20,000 were engaged into Tunnel digging in Rabaul. Most were victims of Japanese cannibalism. This story was reverberated by an international man of Kerala named CAPT AJIT VADAKAYIL.I think Indians need to know why Bose did what he did more than how the foreign influenced Indian government tried to hide whether he was alive or dead. After WW2 the PM of Japan was hanged. The king barely saved his life. Here, Radha Binodh Pal’s argument for Japan not being war criminal is significant.Any learned Indian living abroad would gather different ideas of Bose. Why Bose had penchant for white woman? Bose could have made a powerful ally with a powerful Indian family by marrying an Indian woman. I just have tremendous antipathy in race mixing. Of course, I am only talking for myself. I just can’t see someone respectable would do something in personal level that can’t be approved of in private. I find it rather disturbing knowing that Bose’s escapade to Germany with a view to form an ally with the fiercest person (as media says) but nonetheless fell in love with a white woman. It feels like Udham Singh came to England to kill General Dire but instead fell in love and married a while girl and settled in London. Ha Ha!! That would have been a great immigration case. But no, he went in the parliament and shot and killed the bustard. Udham Singh was later hanged. It’s not clear that why Bose asked for Halter’s help. It’s very clear that either Bose did not know that Hitler did not want to attack British Empire or he had some other agendas. I have read German/English speaking David Irving’s books. Irving says very clearly that Churchill was coward thus dangerous. Churchill attacked Germany on false flag several times. 1945 Dresden attack is well known. Bomber Arthur Harris says himself that he was ordered to blanket bomb Dresden with no particular target but blast German cities as a whole (Mail Online 11th Feb 2013). Over 25,000 people were killed mostly innocent civilians.I wonder if Bose knew what a mad man (Churchill) he was dealing with then would he still have pulled this stunt putting millions fellow Indians’ file in jeopardy?Bose’s puny threat let the bad man named Winston Churchill going bonkers and led him to take various steps to deter Japan from gaining through south Bengal. 10s of thousands innocent people died in famine. In the book Churchill's Secret War, Madhusree Mukerjee detailed this very clearly on ‘Scorched Earth’ and ‘Denial policy’ policy.I do not think Bose understood Mussolini and his mafia laden Italy (of course India is still burdened with an Italian waitress). The whole Axis trio was flawed. After reading tonnes of Book and learning from my family, I still struggle to understand what Bose stood for apart from promising taking freedom rather than getting it handed over as Gandhi opted.British could not have done anything without assistance of princely states and rich families’ help like Sindhya, Birla and may more. Birla made money by making munitions; Sindhia supplied police to English against their own people, Dalmia made money on drug dealing for British where Gandhi maintained continuous supplies of Indian young for World Wars serving British Imperial purpose.Bose was apparently on his own, tried to form an Indian Government in Exile. Present revelations in fact render this book just a good fictional read. One claims that Bose was killed in India at point blank by the order of British. The Gumnami sadhu was certainly not Bose, anyone can make that deduction. Most probably the man was planted by the Nehru government to create realistic confusion and diversion. Even DIB B N Mullik as the Writer noted did not pay much attention to this sadhu in the Enquiries.Bose, Nehru, Jinnah all were nearly from same time line. Bose must have known about Nehru family. It’s all over the internet that J Nehru was grandson of a kotowal named Giasuddin Gazzi in the court of last Mongol emperor Bahdur Sash. Giasuddin Gazzi later changed his name to Gangadhar Nehru to save his life from British. Funnily, very recently someone brave tried to change Wikipedia version of J L Nehru from Government IP and reveal the hidden history. But very quickly it was flagged up and deleted.Katherine Frank described about Indira and her relation with her father and her husband in a great details in her book ‘The Life of Indira Nehru Gandhi’. Kathrin documented how Indira change law and amend constitution to suit her purpose at gun point. She even rigged election in 1971 (I think). She was convicted in 1976 (I think) with the initiative of Raj Narayan (a real Brahman son). If Raj took the helm then Indian would have been a little different but he chose ‘Health’ (I think).Interestingly to all Sikhs, Hindus are the biggest threat but in fact that their religion emerged from Muslim oppression of Hindus. But they forgot all about it, especially 1919 was the year when General Dire opened fire on innocent Panjabis and killed over 2,000 innocents. Sadly, most of the Indian platoons supplied to fulfil British cause by so called Mahatma Gandhi were from Punjab, where my Grand was odd one out. But imagine instead to being grateful for what Indians have done for the British Empire, they came and butchered the same Indian’s mothers, father, and sisters. Yet, we saw Sikhs celebrating ‘Black Diwali’ all over the world. Sikhs are the most as a group of people accepting English nationality. The question is why?Indira Gandhi was married to Firoze in a Mosque in London. Sanjeev Gandhi (later name changed to Sanjay) caused havoc against poor Muslims but as it appeared that a Hindu pundit had pulled all these. By the way if readers don’t know, Sanjeev was prosecuted in London as car thief thus name change was required. Rajiv the elder bro used nearly free labour to house Asiad Games in India. My point is if Bose was alive at that time as the consensus claims (G baba), what was he doing?Even Romain Hayes wrote a book of Bose’s foreign travel intending to create an ally (I did not find much substance though). So, even white foreigner common Jo knew about the truth of Nehru family but Bose was ignorant of it!!! I wonder!Everyone knows that Government of India is possessed by foreign power. Regardless whether its Indira or Modi they all have to be same or else is drop dead. I remember at the time Morarji Desi (a real Brahman son) was PM, Advani, Bajpai and other big names were in his cabinet. Within months they kicked Coca cola’s ass from India and other major MNCs followed. But Desi government couldn’t continue with the government. But the funny thing is when A B Bajpai became PM he took a complete U turn on that issue and forgot all about his previous insurrections against off-springs of East India Company.Furthermore, writer’s reverence for Whites is apparent in page 180, where he says and I quote “I was privileged..” but he felt pity that his own Indian Government was not helpful. I think he misunderstood the Whites entirely and British imperial class in particular. Further it shocked me to see the understanding of a Bangali writer of the word ‘Bhola’. Bhola is a name of Mahadev or Shiv Shankar as we chant Bom-bhola. So, I doubt whether the writer can read or write Bengali and Sanskrit language. The only obedient entourage Rohman was sent to Pakistan and never returned. Yes understand Clement Attlee used two words to Chief justice Chakraborty in Calcutta as his guest ‘Minimal’ for Gandhi and ‘Paramount’ for Bose. But I think all Indians like to know how.I copied this from ‘Mail today’ dated 26th January 2016-04-22“Indians serving in the British armed forces were inflamed by the Red Fort Trials. In February 1946, almost 20,000 sailors of the Royal Indian Navy serving on 78 ships mutinied against the Empire. They went around Mumbai with portraits of Netaji and forced the British to shout Jai Hind and other INA slogans. The rebels brought down the Union Jack on their ships and refused to obey their British masters. This mutiny was followed by similar rebellions in the Royal Indian Air Force and also in the British Indian Army units in Jabalpur. The British were terrified. After the Second World War, 2.5 million Indian soldiers were being de-commissioned from the British Army.”If this is not propaganda then why state of India is still same and even worse? Alright, for argument sake they mutinied against the British Empire under the leadership of Bose but then what?? White British indeed left India but they left behind half cast mongrels as their agents. Dominique Lapierre and Larry Collins described how Mountbatten promoted these newly contrived half cast classes to the high posts in Governments sectors with a view to create a social recognition. So, does it mean Bose disappeared in 1945 and all the initiatives to teach British a lesson disappeared along with him?? OR does it mean that Bose was a dictator against other co-workers will? If this was NOT true, then all these so called mutiny would have been sufficient enough to repatriate those savage deceitful plunderer white skinned (with some exceptions of course) hunters-gatherers back to their Neanderthal caves. But that didn’t happen. Instead the brave solders of Indian-British army recoiled and went to sleep and let foreign educated Nehru to take helm (similar to Shah of Iran)My three generations till my grandfather served his majesties government, although, I do not feel particularly proud of.But I found White British talks a lot and wins things by deception and defrauding. Their main power is in brainwashing using their very powerful media. They are very successful in skewing opinions of common British Jo by making use of their continuous bombardment of propaganda to make it look democratic. British are in fact very cowards and a big bully. If you see how pro-German British such as Lord Darlington and many others were slandered by their own kind. I remember PM Neville Chamberlin, who wanted to let go of a part of Czechoslovakia to Hitler to avoid war.You can see how Pro Europe Ukrainian and pro Brit Czechs in fact bankrolled Churchill to bomb Germany. Many books were written on Churchill’s cowardice act by Peter Miller, famous Stanley Wolpert and Patrick Buchannan to name a few.Didn’t Bose know any of it? Bose would have been better off associating with anti-imperial Brits instead of seeking help from Japan or Italy. Bose’s act proved accepting another Empire against the current one.So, I don’t think this book cuts as far as the subject matter goes. In my opinion this whole thing is a complete waste of time. If the writer scratched even surface of this issue he would have shared the fate of Bradly Manning or Edward Snowden or Julian Assange.Bangalis are called Bongs by other Indians. I as a Bangali Brahman find it rather derogatory. I see Bangalies have propensity to run behind dead and buried men. Yes, we talk about JFK, Gadhafi, Hitler, Suddam, Lincoln because we know and continuously learn what they stood for. But what Bose stood for is still a grey area.I don’t think Bangali’s thinking pattern has India-wide acceptance. Bangalis have more pressing issues to mind than Bose, I suppose. How many Bangalis know about Shri Rajiv Dixit brutally murdered by his own countryman because he said, “wake up Indian”! How many of you know about ‘Ajoy Roy’ a blog writer from US. All he wrote was “Stop demolishing 1000s of years old temples”. He was brutally murdered by a lowlife Muslim in his birth place Bangladesh, where he came for book signing in a Book fair. Thousands of Bangalis are suffering on Ambassador Motor saga, where your CM is worried whether Mosque Imams get their rightful wages. On the other hand IDBI (a govt bank) lent 900 cr to Vijay Mallya’s Kingfisher at the time it had a reported loss of 1600 cr. The Indian Govt has forfeited his diplomatic passport but it looks like that he doesn’t give a monkey sitting in London! We have many walking and talking ‘Bose’ in India today yet we have penchant for running behind dead man. Any man of any cast with understanding of ‘Shrimad Bhagabat Gita’ shall understand what I am saying. Now I subscribed to channel named ‘Subhas-stani’. I found the name rather odd. I don’t think even Bose would have agreed to this silly name. By doing this, Bengalis are alienating themselves from other Indians. Now Bangladeshis (predominantly Muslims) are known as Bangalies in the West. It’s rather pity. Their making use of beautiful Bangla language repulses me.In the end, I don’t see Bose as very clever man. He brought ill fate to many Indians mainly Bangalies. If he had a faintest idea of what white skins are capable of, he would have changed his course. Since 14th century what white skin buccaneers have been pulling is known to even school children but alas Bose came to Whites to find a new perspective.Incas chose to kill themselves rather than fighting Whites. These are all pictured in South American caves. I learned from an America aborigine older that their population is now less than 100,000, where in fact they were over 80 million a few hundred years ago. Now ‘US’ is the sickest place of the face of Earth. In Australia these White skins pulled the same stunt. They have no respect for life because they are different from human. Hu means colour and man is mankind. So, by definition White is colourless thus not human as we know it. They are like hayna. They don’t have any principle whether they love or fight. But of course I am talking about White imperial and business class. Common Jo is good as gold but infested by blatant ignorance and very wrong education.Bose should have read and understood Roman Empire before pulling hostility against them, then difference between our and Whites perception about human life and values would have been clear. We learned that Kings are born. They are Kshtriya class with a job to protect and donate. But since Roman time White kings were made from non-entities (mostly military generals) by aristocrats. In fact all Roman Emperors were dictators including Julius Caesar. White Kings were so brutal and unethical that ‘Magna Carta’ needed to be introduced. In fact contemporary historian admits that these White Emperors were nothing but ‘band of Warriors’. Bose did not even have to go that far back; I don’t think he had any idea what ‘Tory’ stands for (conservative party as we know it – Churchill). Dictionary says ‘Tory’ is Irish robbers. They do live up to their name even today. The trouble was that Bose was English educated like our Vivekananda or Pravhu Pada of ISKCON. Surprisingly and strangely, all needed to come to the West to associate with Whites to get recognition. If Bose had gone deep in understanding the opponent he would not have thought of fitting the whites. One needs to understand ‘Cecil Rhodes foundation’ and the fundamentals of ‘Anglo American establishment’ clearly deciphered by Carol Quigley. Moreover in order to get even better understanding on the Whites deceitful tactics Gorge Orwell, John Pilger, Mark Cartis are good read. The White pulls anything to win a fight, which Bose was clearly unaware of and inadvertently put his life and his own nation into jeopardy.Bose had a few options to get rid of the White parasites from India but confronting them head on was certainly not one of them. Bose failed to unit Indians from all four corners; he had no wealth of his own; his own family was not behind him over his rebellion; he failed to engage the wealthy princes against occupation; he failed to gather business class to back him up and moreover Bose failed to gain mainstream media’s blessing. Most of all Bose failed to build a system thus his single man band dispersed as soon as the name ‘Bose’ vanished in thin air.Well, of course my words shall anger many as it already has angered my own family. But I lived and breathed with Whites for decades. My deductions are solid unless someone else better helps me thinking otherwise.Although, it appears that I am anti-Bose but it’s the opposite. I grew up with revering Bose my entire life. But now I have grown and trying to find out more about our great national hero Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and what he stood for. Jai Hind….

A fascinating book
Of late, while scanning through the Book Store at Amazon, I came across a book “India’s Biggest Cover Up” by Mr. Anuj Dhar. I ordered the same and in a few days, the same was delivered to me by Amazon. Some 440+ pages admirably printed and beautifully bound (hard cover) tome gives a feeling of something important in your hands. And as you read through the pages, your feeling is validated. The book is aptly named “India’s Biggest Cover-up” as the author has gradually uncovered through the pages how the government has effectively let down the aspirations of the people of India to know the fate of their beloved leader and the greatest son of modern India, Netaji, that is.This book is the result of meticulous research made by the author of findings and inferences of various agencies, which delved into the mystery of disappearance of Netaji on 18/08/1945. He has not only covered the findings of the Shah Nawaz Committee and the Khosla and Mukherjee Commissions, but also the investigations made before India became independent, by the British and US Authorities and many others. The book makes an interesting reading, but to say just that will be an understatement. While I was reading some chapter, I felt a keen desire to know what the author revealed in the end or in subsequent chapters. Once even my wife reprimanded me, noticing my untimely browsing through later pages. I found the book no less interesting than a bestselling thriller or a detective novel.Inferences drawn in the book are substantiated through copies of several documents and sources. Conveniently, copies of most of the documents and sources are incorporated right at the places of their references. However, a list of several other documents and sources is also appended at the end of the book. This is very helpful, as the reader is able to verify the inferences in real time before they lose track of the same.It is also not mandatory for the reader to concur with the inferences drawn by the author. Rather they are at liberty to draw their own inferences based on the facts, evidences and sources provided. As for me, I can say that my inferences, in large measure, converged with the inferences drawn by the author himself. The book exposes the deception of the government in accepting the Shah Nawaz Committee and Khosla Commission reports, which are based on the most skewed logic to prove the plane cash theory, while rejecting the logical conclusions of the Mukherjee Commission report. The book contains graphic details how the government and bureaucracy stalled or delayed every attempts of the Mukherjee Commission to obtain documents for a fair inquiry into the fate of Netaji. There is no doubt that the government has blatantly and deliberately tried to obliterate the memory of Subhash Chandra Bose from public mind.I wish that all patriotic Indians should read this book and build a strong movement and pressurize the government to declassify all Netaji related files. It is our bounden duty as the citizens of this great country. It is also our obligation to that great son of India to put his historical records straight.
