There is a bump which goes a bit over the screen to protect it. The charging port is big enough for a cable of any thickness to fit in. A small issue I've had with this is it can leave marks on your phone if kept for too long but these can be easily wiped off and it can get micro scratches really quickly. However, these scratches aren't really apparent because the case has a matte finish.
