Review: Fantastic Cooking Grate - This is a fantastic cooking grate. Made out of quality steel and we have made several great meals on an open fire. Very easy to clean when you heat up the grate above nice hot embers. My fire pit is 30 inches in size and this grate size is perfect. Being able to lift half of the grate up allows me to adjust the embers and create heat zones in the fire pit. My grate is about a foot above the hot embers and when you use hard wood from fruit trees, you get a very nice smoke flavor on your grilled food. We also prepared a clam bake and the grate is strong enough to hold several pots and pans. Review: Sturdy - Great Product - This is the real thing. The metal is thick and although you may get some deforming with any metal under high heat, this holds up to a big fire and works great. If there’s any deformation of this product it is absolutely nominal. Unlike the other cheap barbecue grates with wire mesh that are a joke (I tried them). This product is made by the company that makes many of the out door barbecues you see in public parks.
