It just charges. Red light shows when cradled, then when its it's done it turns to a green light. Works great!

Is the charger base a 1.2A?

No it is garbage it won't work for my watch

Does this work with a yamay watch?

Best read the charging requirements of the device you want to charge and if the coils are in the correct alignment. It works fine with the galaxy watch. Good luck
