I wanted this for fixing breaks with my Automower wires. I have previously used the AM radio + continuity testing which is laborious and very time consuming. This is a game changer!! Two breaks identified and fixed in 30 minutes. Once you understand how the signal drops off you can get within 10cm of the break with your first dig. One was a guide wire which is doubly difficult as it's harder to know the exact route. If you fix your own Automower wire breaks you need this tool!

Can't fault it. Within 20 mins of located the fault & carried out the repair. Without it, it would have been a nightmare & almost impossible to locate the fault.

Normally when the have boundary wire break for my Huskvarna automower 450x, I use am radio. However over the last few days I couldn’t find it. I researched fair few wire break detectors and this was well reviewed on you tube. Took 10 mins! Best investment ever!

This tracer is excellent, when it was working, last time I used it was a few months ago. Howver, I have just activated both receiver and transmitter to trace some storm damaged cables. Both units turn on and show the usual start up screens but the receiver is not detecting the signal produced by the transmitter. Receiver willl identify a live cable but the receiver's detection functions have stopped completely. Batteries charged ok, nothing damaged, I connected the units properly for a simple wire tracing but reeceiver is inactive. Anyone else had this problem?

Not working in underground cable

Does what it claims. I located an important TV Trunk cable in no time at all. Clamped on to the outer shield of the Trunk and earthed the other with earth stake and was able to trace cable thru 2 completely covered pits a total of about 600 meters. Add TV cable locating to its list of uses!

Parfait pour détecter une coupure de fil souterrain de guidage pour robot tondeuse. A condition de pouvoir connecter une extrémité à l'appareil émetteur. Beau matériel, manuel traduit en Français presque intelligible.

Alors contrairement à certains commentaires, il y'a bien une notice en français et le câble d'alimentation est fourni. J'ai utilisé ce produit afin de retrouver un câble d'alimentation de portail électrique enterré à environ 30 cm sous terre. La détection est précise, l'intensité du signal n'est pas seulement sonore mais aussi chiffrée de 0 à 250 ce qui facilite beaucoup la localisation et de rapidement suivre les virages pris par le câble. En même pas 5 minutes, j'ai pu me rendre compte que contrairement à ce que je pensais, mon câble d'alimentation n'arrivait pas dans mon garage mais dans une boite de dérivation dans mon salon. Petite remarque tout de même mais qui est liée à la technologie utilisée, l'appareil est perturbé par tout ce qui est métallique, la distance de détection s'effondre alors du fait de la perturbation électro-magnétique de ces pièces.
