The case has a smooth finish which looks very nice. Inside, there is a soft material lining to help protect the RF Explorer. On one side, there is an elastic strap to help secure the RF Explorer with just the right amount of room to insert the USB data cable next to it. This allows the unit to have a nice snug fit that helps prevent it from moving around too much during transport. On the opposite side there is an elastic mesh pocket which is handy for antennas, terminators, adapters and etc. With the RF Explorer, cable and accessories placed into the case it zips up with an almost perfect fit. I bought two of the cases recently for my Spectrum Analyzer and Signal Generator and have been quite happy with them so far. I would highly recommend this carrying case.
