Are these as pictured with the old-style small logo, or the newer style huge logo seen in http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/b00006iebc ?

The ones that I received have the newer large logo. I'm glad they still make these because I've yet to find any other pen that writes so well.

Is the in these pens waterproof when dry?

I just wrote a small note, let it dry, then ran it under the sink tap. It did not run, nor did it smear when I touched it. So I'm going to go with it: seems waterproof when dry. But I did not let it soak in water, the paper I used wouldn't have stood up to that.

Do these write dark purple or lavender like the ones from two years ago?

The one I have writes dark purple. I bought it a few years ago. I compared my pen to the one shown here and it is different. My pen says, "pilot V ball extra fine" . Luckily I bought more of these pens and the new ones look exactly like the picture here. So since I had the old ones and new ones I did a color test. They are both exactly the same....dark! I love these pens and for some reason you can't find them in stores anymore. Me being a pen nerd I bought 5 boxes of these...so afraid they might be discontinued. Another great pen that is an extra fine writing pen is uni-ball vision elite. Actually Pilot makes another good one Precise V5 RT.
