Good game for those who like coffee and games.
It's a good game, not a great game. There's a lot of luck and luck mitigation involved, so it isn't incredibly satisfying but rather it's a nice, tactile pastime. Components are lovely. The variety of coffees is also nice (21 I think), although I really wish they would add content expansions which provide more moderate (7) and expert (7) cards to try since the beginner ones (7) can be really easy once you've figured the game out. If I weren't a specialty coffee enthusiast, this would be a 3.5 star rating, so YMMV. A lot of the information is accurate and interesting but there are some errors.

Love this unique gem. Pure solo game that doesn't take a ton of space and isn't too hard to learn.

Had been looking at this for a bit. Wanted a nice puzzler that would be easy to set up and challenging enough to want more out of it after a few game plays. This has that in my opinion. Concept: Play three sessions, approximately 15-20 mins each depending on your push-you-luck threshold, of light, medium, and dark roasts. Each roast has difficultly levels associated so you can set you comfort level. Same goes with your roaster board, which is double sided. Each round you draft beans (or water, or adds) from a bag, react to what's provided, and cycle through until you feel like your done roasting. After that, you move into a "pour" which means you draft your final beans and place them either in the cup or to the plates that are available obtained during roasting. After blending the cup, score points! Its nice that the game encourages a session time, however the player decides the rounds. There is certain luck involved but also a way to respond depending on how you went through roasting. There seems to be enough variety to the coffee beans to encourage replayability and offers the concept of just having a one-off session if you desire. Quality of components are fine for what it is. Cards are great, well designed, and cardboard chips are chunky enough for great play. Design is awesome and they've even gone the extra mile to provide details information on various beans from around the world! Not necessary but both engaging to the theme and interesting to read if you like to learn about it. Being solo only, it's nice to sit and have your own cup of coffee, tea, whatever, and enjoy this nice puzzler.
