This book is not like the original printed series
This book is not like the original printed series, and I missed several pieces important to the original book three. This one combines original books three and four, which made me extremely happy, but again, I missed pieces I expected from the original series after it was publishes in English

I'm nervous to read the next volume, but I'll definitely be reading it!
"I know you haven't said anything because you're worried about me but you're not being fair by keeping it all to yourself. Seeing you struggle is far more painful to me than anything else. So stop hiding things from me!!" I read this two days ago and I STILL have been trying to process the shock of that ending because I was SO caught off guard and NEVER expected the turn of events! I mean, was ANYONE prepared for that to happen?! Rewinding though I really enjoyed this volume overall! The biggest reason I didn't SUPER love it? The new character that shows up… I cannot stand him! I knew he was shady right from the start, but I never imagined it would get worse! He is awful in every single way and I hope he will be taken down by the end of this series! Again, he was awful and will warn that he caused a very triggering moment (due to SA) and was absolutely furious! However, the other parts of this volume were so emotional and very much cried when it came to Jeanne wanting to steal this one specific painting and the outcome. My heart felt broken and it made it much worse when you find out why a certain person interfered… On the other hand, I feel there is such mystery around Chiaki and exactly what his angel told him (though wouldn't for the longest). Seeing his resolve to stop Jeanne at all costs was really surprising honestly because he had a different seriousness to him that's been shown thus far. Speaking of him though, the date was SOOOOO wonderful!! I squealed...only for that cliffhanger to happen and have no idea where things are going to go from here! I'm nervous to read the next volume, but I'll definitely be reading it!

It's getting even better
~4/5 [More of my reviews are available on my blog, Geeky Reading, to which there's a link on my profile.] Now this series is getting really exciting. I love it. We meet a new character in this volume, Hijiri, and that leads to the Jeanne plotline getting serious. Maron being a reincarnation of Jeanne d’Arc hasn’t really been important till now, but now it really is. I won’t spoil why, though. I will say I’m not a huge fan of Hijiri, though, particularly when he tries to force himself on Maron. Then there’s a few chapters where Maron meets an ill boy being possessed by a demon, and has to deal with the decision to exorcize the demon or not. I remember the boy from my previous read, and was not quite as emotional this time, but it’s still sad, and I still really like him. His parents kind of upset me, though, because I don’t agree with their decision. This leads to a confrontation with Chiaki, and the revelation of something that has been hidden from Maron from the start. And it’s kind of horrible. It’s a huge betrayal, and the cliffhanger is really horrible. I can’t wait for the next volume, so I can read where the story goes next. I’m loving getting to read this series again. And now that the story is getting serious, and into the more exciting plotline development, I’m really excited about it. It’s getting to the really good stuff now.
