Gtech HeatWave Patio Heater

I bought this to heat an outdoor seating area on my decking in replacement of a gas patio heater. It worked straight out of the box and comes with a standard UK plug on it. It was easy to fit to the wall however I feel the mounting bracket could have been sturdier. In terms of heat it throws of plenty of heat if you are sat fairly close to it and at night it adds a nice red glow to the seating area similar to mood lighting. I would recommend this product, especially since some similar heaters are considerably more money than this. Build quality 4/5 Ease of use 5/5 Value for money 5/5 Functionality 5/5

I bought two of these heaters after a lot of research. I only wanted basic functions but good quality and price. I’ve had these for a year now and they work really well. The warmth is instant and makes chilly evenings quite comfortable. The light is less bright red than others I’ve had. I have wired switches into the power supply as installed above reaching height. I didn’t want yet another remote control to lose.

The GTech patio heater is perfect for our outdoor space . The area is under cover but open at the front . The heater takes the chill off and makes the area really warm and cosy . My husband found them easy to install and placed a double socket in line with them so that the cable wasn’t trailing down the wall . ( he’s an Electrician so this was easy for him ). We purchased two but can use them individually of course . Summer chilly evenings will be much more appealing now we have these heaters . They throw quite a lot of heat out and although there is no thermostat it’s easy just to turn them on and off when needed, they also give such a welcoming glow too ! . Don’t hesitate to purchase this great little heater , you won’t be disappointed 🙂

Used in an external pergola they throw a good heat out to 2m which falls off after 3.5. would be nice to see a temp selector to align to your seating placement, but on/off seems fine. One unit isn't sufficient to warm a 5x3 space Not sure they are worth the £85 paid but they are cheaper to run than gas

Great Patio heater, fitting was simply, only downside is there is only one heat setting, but it heats up really quick and covers our undercover patio area [about 3m deep and a good 4m wide], highly recommend.

I can't really fault this item at such a good price. I already owned a cheap quartz patio heater which did the job, but i was always curious as to how much better an infrared heater would be. Price always put me off until I found this Gtech model at a third of its original price, so i jumped at it. I've only had limited use so far, but can honestly say it's a good step up from the previous one I had. The heat is instant and can be felt at normal distances that you would expect to be comfortable. There is only one setting at 2kw which is a bit limiting but you could buy two and still spend less than the normal cost and cover a larger area. Anyway, for me it's just for those summer evenings that are just a little too cool and for that I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Returned this item as it doesn’t emit enough heat. It gets very hot, but it doesn’t travel. The power cable is also very short, meaning it has to be very close to the socket.
