Compatible Heating Element For Hotpoint Dryers

Just a comment regarding the 220V vs. 110V discussion. Yes, this unit is a 220V, 2200W heater. It is plug compatible with the 110V, 1100W heater in my dryer. And... half the voltage results in half the heat. So, if you use this 220V/2200W heater to replace your 110V/1100W heater element, and only provide it 110V, it will produce 1100 watts of heat. At least that's what they taught me in engineering school. And so it is... I get about the same amount of heat out of this element than I did with the old (failed) element. I've never been thrilled with the amount of heat this dryer produces. It takes a long time to dry stuff, even with small loads. Replacing my failed heater with this element didn't change that... but at least I'm back to where I was.

Had to change the electric connection to fit my splendide dryer but other than that it fit good.

Works perfectly. I have been using for a few moths now with no issues.

this item needs a better better description it is for a 220 volt dyer and not a 110 volt splendide 6400 or 6500 dyer the box it came has which dyers it will work with and the rv splendide dyer model number is not mention the correct part number is 283154 which is not available from amazon found it on another site.

bought just the thermostats from splendide before 67 dollars this whole unit with thermostats was 35 dollars waiting on belts to install no sense in taking machine apart twice.

It was exactly like my old one, I looked at the heating elements on Amazon and it was the same thing. Rv dealer said they Couldn’t get one!

This a 220v 2300watt element. If you are working on a 120v Splendide dryer, this element will not work. It is the exact same size, just incorrect voltage for an American RV dryer.
