GENKI - AN INTEGRATED COURSE IN ELEMENTARY JAPANESE - ANSWER KEY - 3RD EDITION en 2020

Its exactly what it says it is. A teacher's answer book. Designed for a Japanese speaking teacher so it can be difficult to use as a self study student. But I'd still recommend it. Only "problem" is when it's an open ended question and your learning Japanese, you won't understand what the book is saying at times.

This is apart of a classic Japanese textbook. Happy to have this volume.

I have both Genki I and Genki II, and thought this answer key would be useful for me, since I'm self-studying. The book arrived quickly, safely, and in good order, and is exactly as described - it's the answer key to the Genki series and a follow-along book for the sound files. However, unlike the textbooks themselves, the answer key book is entirely in Japanese. No English to go along with describing the answers. If you already know your Kana, the spoken sections include Furigana with the kanji used. Otherwise, you're SOL in using this book unless you also know some kanji. I'm still giving the book five stars. It IS the answer key for the Genki exercises, so the book is exactly as described. It's my bad that I assumed it would be like the textbooks, written in both Japanese and English. But since the answer key book is not like the textbooks, I caution anyone reading this review from ordering the book unless you know what you're doing.

Super helpful

This Answer Key book includes answers to: Genki 1 Textbook Genki 2 Textbook Genki 1 Workbook Genki 2 Workbook Genki 1 Workbook Listening Comprehension audio file scripts (audio files can be downloaded on "the japan times" app) I was a bit miffed at having to pay an extra $15 for the answers that they should have included in the back of the textbook. There are pdfs of the answers floating around on the internet, but I didn't want to have to reach for my phone or laptop and pull up the pdf to look up the answers. Somethings are just easier to have in book form. In the end I'm glad I just went ahead and bought the answer key because it's made it convenient and quick to check the answers after answering the questions. From chapter 3 on the answers will be in Kanji with furigana, but chapters 1 & 2 are only in hiragana and katakana. So if you picked up some Kanji (like sensei and gaksei) from elsewhere, you'll have to check those separately for the first two chapters. This answer book also includes answers for the Genki Workbook so if you picked that up in addition to the textbook, the answers for that workbook are also in this answer book. I recommend using a post-it note bookmark for the sake of convenience.

You can self-learning Japanese at home with these books.

It’s all in Japanese, but if you’re studying then it’ll be easy to follow along. Good quality too!

A must with the Genki learning books.

This is a great answer book for the Genki course books but navigating it can be a little tricky it takes getting used to due to the lack of any English. I understand it’s a Japanese book but being a Japanese learning course a little English to help navigate the pages would come in handy. There are answers for four different books and totals the two workbooks and the two textbooks. Would have been easier if the different answers for the different books were in different colours or visually differentiated a little bit. I ended up putting post notes in different colours to differentiate where the different workbooks and textbooks answer started and once that was sorted it became much easier to navigate.
