Review: Great clippers for elderly - These nail clippers are exceptional for an elderly parent. Easy-to-use and find. Big holding portion and color make these clippers perfect for people with arthritis and mobility issues.
Review: Almost perfect for me - It ships in rather nice packaging, which surprised me given the low price point. It's very easy and comfortable to hold. I bought it primarily because I suffer from Raynaud's Syndrome, making it very uncomfortable for me to touch cold objects, like metal. So the plastic outer portion of the clippers is great. The one feature I don't like is the fact that the plastic top of the clippers do not attach to the metal top of the clippers. I suppose this is because glue tends to wear away over time, and that would be the likely manner in which the metal hinge would be kept attached. So in order for me to get to the "filing" portion of the clippers (more on that in a second), I have to touch the metal lever and flip that up as well. The plastic cover just rotates without any effort, but the metal handle stays down unless you flip it up and back. The "filing" part of the device is an ellipsoidal surface (it's not a flat oval, it's rounded) that feels like it's covered with hundreds of tiny hooks or something. Very different from what I'm use to with "ordinary" clippers and the filing board that swings out. This surface is essentially sticky if you try to touch it–thus the sense that there's a ton of velcroish hooks there. Obviously, this isn't the case, as it does file fingernails very well, so it's not hooking anything by any means. Just a very odd-sensation for me–maybe this is what emory boards are like? In any case, in does it's job well. It doesn't cut as close as I'd like, but I'm probably in the vast majority with how short I like my nails. There often feels like "just a bit more" that I could clip off that the clippers can't get. But I think I'm just abnormal in that regard. This should satisfy most any user, I would imagine.

## Features

- [ADAPTIVE NAIL CLIPPER] These innovative Japanese nail clippers are designed for stress-free use by people with disabilities, the elderly with weak hands, and children. They operate by placing them on a table and pushing with the palm, arm, or elbow, eliminating the need to grasp them. This makes them suitable for individuals with arthritis or paralysis. Their large, ergonomic handles ensure ease of use for older adults with weak hands.
- [HIGH-QUALITY NAIL FILE] The nail file can be accessed by opening the handle. It is designed to be easier to use for older people because it is larger than a regular nail clipper's file. You can also place it on your desk and file your nails with just one hand.
- [HEAVY-DUTY JAPANESE STEEL BLADE] The blade is made of high-quality, razor-sharp Japanese steel. You can cut your nails accurately and comfortably with minimal effort. Due to its sharpness, you can cut both fingernails and thick toenails. Each piece is manufactured and inspected by Japanese craftsmen in Seki City, the leading cutlery town in Japan.
- [NO MESS NAIL CATCHER] The body catches the nails, preventing them from scattering.
- [PRODUCT INFORMATION] Total Size: 2.95 × 1.45 × 1.77 inches / Blade Material: Japanese carbon steel / File Material: Japanese stainless steel / Body Material: ABS resin / Made in SEKI, JAPAN

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ gets the job done
*by C***Y on July 2, 2024*

i have a pinched nerve in my arm which makes regular nail clippers super hard to use. so i bought this set hoping it would make things easier. used them for the first time and didn't have to fight with a single nail. if you have poor grip strength i would totally recommend these. they are a little weird to use as first but definatly much easier than just regular nail clippers on their own.
