ySky Portable Smart Auto Phone Timer Lock Box for iPhone and Android Phones,

I used to have one of these from a brand called "iDiskk," but gave it to a friend. Peeled the "ySky" sticker off this one and it says "iDiskk" underneath :). I think this is the best phone vault for a big reason: you can still see the screen and operate the phone in a very basic manner while it's in the case. That means you're not completely SOL if you have some sort of urgent matter where you need to take a call or access a website, but it's still enough of a physical barrier to keep you from doomscrolling. It's really easy to use, the cover is sturdy enough that you can't just yank it open easily, and fits my Pixel with a case and a ring on the back. It's also a handsome little thing, not too gaudy to leave out. One thing that threw me off: this is technically a battery operated device. I left it in a drawer for a long time and pulled it out to use it, and it seemed broken. It turned out it was just completely dead, and I had to let it charge for a but. It did charge enough to use pretty quickly, and is good to go from there as long as you leave it plugged in. In conclusion, this is the one to get for most folks. Maybe not if you're determined enough to scroll through the case or pry it open, but otherwise this is a good value for a good case.

I had to buy this a second time because the driver delivered to the wrong address initially 😡. The product is really good. Sturdy, uncomplicated, locks tight, not hard to figure out and does the job. My teen son who has ADHD (poor impulse control) is still able to be on the phone talking with his friends without having access to social mediaall night long. I dont have the energy to have the "give me the phone" battle every night. I think that because the phone is still in his possession he feels good about the process. There is no hassle about locking it up and he wakes up rested and ready for school. I notice he is on the phone alot less during the day. His mood is better (probably because he is sleeping) and overall I'm embarrassed to need the device but not too proud to admit We needed the device.

I have been using this to enjoy more quality and focus better at work. Unfortunately today I accidentally locked it for 18 hours and realized i ran out of emergency unlocks. Previous solutions showed you could removed the battery to reset this feature but my 2023 model does not have that easy option as the battery cables are not removable. To get my phone out i had to remove the locking gear (second photo) and move the lock up to release then put everything back together. You will need special screw drivers made for electronics such as iphones. This solution will not reset you 5 emergency unlocks.

So I’ve had this product since 2024, and now it’s 2026 and I must say this product works ! I Felt I should review it as I randomly decided to look up the listing to see if it’s still available & saw it’s listed as a frequently returned item… that’s a bummer because as an adult w/ adhd this has been a major life saver. I currently don’t have the discipline to do without my phone if it’s accessible to me.. and no putting it in another room doesn’t work for me, but this lockbox has been a solution to that and I’m able to put my phone away and focus on important tasks. I will say though to be careful when setting the timer, because it’s easy to set it in hours and not minutes lol. I tried locking it away for 30 minutes for a quick Bible study session and was about to lock it down when the Lord spoke to me and said I had it set to 30 hours !!!! Bruhhh 😂😂😂 anyway I quickly realized he was right and then I set it to minutes and got back to my Bible study. After the 30 minutes was up it unlocked perfectly fine. It’s not super light but also not a brick 🧱, it’s very stable and sturdy. It fits my iPhone 13 with lots of wiggle room, can absolutely fit the pro or pro max iPhones (most). TBH I’d bet a majority of the down votes didn’t read the instructions, it has an emergency over ride feature, so you are not doomed if you need to get it out in an emergency ‼️ FYI: PLEASE MAKE SURE IT’S FULLY CHARGED IF YOU ARE GOING TO LOCK IT DOWN FOR HOURS .. Have been using this phone lock device for over a year and couldn't be more pleased. It's been a lifesaver in handling my SO's tendency to engage in inappropriate Facebook flirting with coworkers and past flames when he drinks a bit too much. The cost is a fraction of what you'd spend on therapy, and it works wonders. The timer lock feature is a fantastic, allowing us to set how long the phone should stay secure, which is extremely convenient. The design is smart too, with open access areas on the lock case. This means the phone can still be used for emergencies or necessary calls, but it effectively deters any attempts at texting. This has been a huge relief and has helped maintain both our peace of mind and dignity. Highly recommend for anyone in a similar situation!

It worked well for a few weeks / months. Then, I put a timer for 25 minutes and saw it count down from 25 minutes to 24:59, 24:58, etc. When I came back (after about an hour and a half) to collect my phone, the timer was counting down from 80 hours. I had to slide my phone out by physically pulling one corner enough for it to slide out. I tried again, and same issue. I can’t seem to contact the company to find a fix (and the troubleshooting doesn’t have a solution to this issue). Money wasted / can’t trust the device again.

This is a wonderful way to outsource your willpower—if you have the willpower to place the phone in the box. However, I find it to be flimsy so you have to restrain yourself from breaking it open. Give the plastic an illusion of power and pretend it cannot be opened. Great value! Very easy to use! Placing it face down is the most effective because I found I worked around it too much with the holes face up. Good luck on your screen time control journey!! Worth a shot to see if this tool works.

I bought one (transparent cover) as I couldn’t keep my smartphone away from myself before going to bed which frequently led me to watching YouTube shorts for hours. After getting this product, I locked my phone for the sleeping hours and it helped me so much with sleeping enough hours, getting up early in the morning. The quality of life has improved. I also used it for studying time. I can still answer calls if needed but kept me from watching YouTube shorts, which helped me alot. Please try it.

Works great to restrict device usage, gives you total freedom instead of having to fight yourself. However, there is a bug or perhaps a feature that the store page did not mention and i saw one other reviewer mention, once a timer is set, you can easily override it by clicking the up hour button about 10 times in quick succession, which made me think that the product was useless. Just before returning it however i tested it again and found that it disappeared. It seems that this override feature only works about 4-5 times and then turns off, as in you cant override it again ever. So i would recommend finishing all the override chances asap to make it actually work as intended, after that its a great device, almost refunded it but now its perfect.

It does its job. I got all the pieces it’s supposed to come with. It’s easy to use. The only critique is that it feels a little delicate, and that may just be me.

Antes pasaba horas viendo este tipo de contenido; ahora dedico menos de 30 minutos al día, entre otras mejoras. El único inconveniente que encontré es que la tapa del seguro parece frágil, como si pudiera romperse fácilmente con un poco de fuerza o tras una caída. Sin embargo, mientras no se necesite para uso rudo, cumple bien su función.

I personally used this as a deterrent from me using my phone excessively, and to a degree it does work. The construction and build quality is not great; plastics are thin and it wouldn't take much force to break the thing open if one tried. It is however very easy to use, and seems to have good battery life in that I haven't needed to charge it since receiving it, which is impressive. It's a great way to take a break from devices, but only if you can be honest about it and not challenge the weak lock and structure of it.
