Question 1

How much body weight this product may handle? My boyfriend is about 210 lbs and I just want to make sure that this product can handle his body wt.

I wish I could make this answer anonymous, but I weigh well over 300 lbs. I've owned my Spine-Works for about 3 years, and use it every few weeks. It has never shown any signs of stress, or made creaking sounds, or sagged under me, or in any way suggested it couldn't handle someone much heavier than I am. From my experience, I'd say a person weighing 400 lbs shouldn't have any problem, unless the manufacturer has made changes that reduced the structural stability of more recent Spine-Worx boards. Unlike most of the plastic products on the market, the Spine-Worx board is well made and meant to last a lifetime. If anything on my Spine-Worx board ever breaks, or wears out, I will be shocked.

how do you use this product?

You will take spine-worx and place it on the ground.  Sit in front of the end with the higher hump and have the spine-worx at your lower back.  Slowly lower your back onto the device, making sure your back is centered and your spine is in between the two sides.  Your back may crack when you do this.  Lay back and relax your body.  You may want to put a pillow under your head.  Start by laying for a few minutes and gradually move up in time depending on how it feels.  When you are done roll to the side and lay with your chest on the ground for a minute or two then move to one knee for another minute and finally get up.

Could this help scoliosis? My degree/curve is around 30-35.

I know it says it doesn't help scoliosis-- but I have scoliosis and I use the spine-worx back alignment device, I' just gonna say- it helps me.  I don't think it would hurt to try it for yourself, It doesn't cost much and you could always give it to someone else with alignment issues. I'm not sure of the degree of my curve.

How exactly do you know your spine is aligned in the device? Thank you

You want to make sure that each yellow ridge is on the outside of your spinal column. The easiest way to do so, is to place your buttocks up against the bottom of the Spine-Worx. Then use your thumbs to feel for your spine and to align the two ridges with the outer part of your spine. When you lay back you will also feel it is properly aligned when the pressure is felt on the muscles and not the vertebrae. There are also videos available on YouTube with instructions.
