This deck of playing cards looks like it has been locked up for nearly a century, waiting for someone to come along and rediscover it. However, they are brand new. The intricate casing appears to have aged beautifully as the tuck has yellowed but the red has kept it's vibrant color through the years. This deck of playing cards is printed by Bicycle and produced by Collectable Playing Cards. Bicycle Playing Cards has been produced for a long time, but never before has there been such a wonderfully crafted design that portrays the way cards used to look. The Bicycle Vintage deck's emblem appears to resemble an old-time secret society, with the spade as it's symbol. The Aces appear to have gone through a lot of aging, however you can still make out the amazing detailed artwork. The court cards are aged in a standard manner, and appear to have the worn-out look from years of constant usage. The Jokers are filled with anticipation for someone to show them the light of day once again. The numbered cards show much of the same vintage look, along with easy-to-read pips. Review: The cards look old, but feel brand new. They are some of the thickest cards I have, and feel like they could last a solid year of daily use. They were perfect for a colonial costume when I wanted something I could readily play with others rather than something that was period-appropriate, but still looked old. I won't be using them regularly though, as the aged look makes it a little difficult for me to make out spades from clubs at a distance. But for Independence Day and Halloween, it's perfect. Review: I'll start with the deck is complete and the cards in good shape, however, since I was under the impression that I was buying a new deck, the condition of the box was unacceptable. It was unwrapped, the seal was broken, the cards were shuffled and the distributor stuck their barcode inventory sticker to the unwrapped box ruining the packaging as a collectable.
