This games does not include the Uncle Wiggly stories. You'll have to purchase the storybooks separately. The game does show some of the animal characters from the books on the board. It is a simple follow-the-path game, with a few spaces where you might get stuck in a "trap" or other obstacle and have to go back 3 spaces. If you and your child are not familiar with the Uncle Wiggly stories, I would definitely recommend purchasing one of the books to go along with this game. They are really sweet stories about the adventures of a kind rabbit and various other woodland/farm creatures.This game is simplified from the older "original" version of the game as one of the previous commenters mentioned, but is good for preschoolers who are learning numbers and counting. All the spaces on the game are numbered 1-100. Each card includes a large font numeral and a basic rhyme about how to advance your piece (1-20 spaces) along the trail from Uncle Wiggly's bungalow to Dr. Possom's house. An example is "Two hops more on this fine day, it's fun to help the bunny find his way."
