These are a lot less expensive than the Brita filters we used to use (and the hardware you attach to the faucet doesn't break like our Brita's did). The results are great, the water tastes good. Just be sure to follow the instructions to run the water for 3 minutes initially and then 3 seconds every time you turn it on. The initial 3 minutes is to clear our extra carbon (you'll see the black water coming out). The three seconds is (I think) to clear out the water that has been sitting in the plastic housing holding the filter. It can taste a bit like plastic if you don't do this.

Great value pack, works great. Very pleased with this purchase as those where getting harder and harder to get in hardware stores last couple of years.
