I recently purchased De*Nitrate, 100 mL Bagged, and Iām very impressed with the results! Hereās why Iām giving it a 5-star review: ā Effective at Removing Nitrates: This product is exactly what my aquarium needed! It works wonders in reducing nitrate levels, which is critical for keeping the water quality in check and preventing harmful spikes. Iāve noticed a significant improvement in the clarity and overall health of my tank since using it. ā Easy to Use: The 100 mL bag is easy to handle, and the instructions are simple to follow. I placed it in my filter, and it immediately started working to reduce nitrate levels. I appreciate that it doesnāt require a lot of effort to applyājust a simple addition to the filtration system, and you're good to go. ā Improves Water Quality: Since adding De*Nitrate to my aquarium, the water quality has been noticeably better. The fish look healthier, the tank stays cleaner for longer, and Iāve had fewer algae issues, which is a huge bonus! ā Safe for All Aquatic Life: I was initially concerned about how it might affect the delicate balance of my tank, but thereās no need to worry. This product is safe for all aquatic life, and itās been gentle on my fish, plants, and beneficial bacteria. I can tell itās working without causing any harm to the ecosystem. ā Lasting Results: The 100 mL bag has lasted a long time, and Iām still seeing excellent results. Itās a good value for the price, as itās been keeping the nitrate levels in check for a while now. I donāt have to worry about constantly replacing it, which makes it very cost-effective in the long run. ā Great for Larger Aquariums: Whether you have a small or larger tank, this product is great for managing nitrate levels. Iāve used it in both and have seen equally positive results in both sizes of aquariums. Overall, De*Nitrate is a must-have for anyone whoās serious about maintaining a healthy aquarium environment. It works efficiently to reduce harmful nitrates, keeps the water quality in top shape, and is incredibly easy to use. If you're looking for a reliable way to improve the health of your aquarium, I highly recommend giving it a try!

I have a 10 gal tank this this took my nitrates/nitrites levels to 0! I couldnāt believe this is all it took after buying multiple liquids, doing multiple water changes. Put half of the bag in each of my two filters and it did the trick.

Does exactly what it's supposed to. I placed it in my AquaClear 20 filter and it brought the nitrate level in my 10 gallon tank from ~20 ppm to under 10 ppm in a week and to 0 ppm in less than two weeks.

Thought I would share the horry story this product has brought to my family. We have had a red eared slider aquatic turtle; names little buddy for 17 years and his companion goldfish names Gilbert for 2 or 2.5 years. After my aquarium began having an issue with a cloudy water problem I did some research online to self diagnose the issues. This is my first tank setup and although I have been taking care of it for almost 20 years, I am still "green under the gills " so to speak. (Pun absolutely intendedš) I am still learning how to deal with different water issues as well as whatever else it throws at me. Not to mention turtles are one of the most waste producing and water polluting pets to have. I purchased a water test kit that not only tests the ph level but also high range ph, amonia, nitrate and nitrite levels . after taking a few readings ( 2 days apart and at 2 different times of the day to ensure there were not other circumstances affecting the reading) it produced the same readings each time. I then followed it up with a digital reading device to ensure accuracy of the reading. All were within a reasonal acceptability of discrepancy. So, I then followed the reccomendations in the test book as to how I could remedy the problem with the water quality. After I purchased the product for whom I am writing the review i used the product as directed in the instructions associated with it. I put the media inside the canister filter as directed and then I began a water change. I replaced 30 precent of the tanks water supply. This is and 80 gallon rank with approximately 65 gallons of water held within it. There are only 2 things in the tank, the turtle and the fish. Along with various declrative things including rocks at the bottom of tank, bubble wall heater filter and the dock for luttle buddy to bask on. After the water change I added the quick start/ conditioner as I always do and replaced the filters media( this is when I had added the de*nitrate product above) then i placed the newly cleaned canister filter into the tank and turned it on. Within 8 hours Gilbert began acting funny. I couldnt quite tell what was up but it looked as though he couldnt breathe quite right. The bubbles in the tank serve 2 purposes, 1 of which is ensuring adequate oxygen levels in the tanks water to give the fish what her needs to breathe. They are on and working and functional. He continues to seem stressed overnight . the next morning I noticed that inside his gills had became a dark almost black color and he was at the surface gasping in half breaths of air along with water. ( almost looked like he was feeding off the surface) but they do not do that so I grew concerned. I then removed him ad well as little buddy from the tank and placed them intothe reserve tank that we have for a holding area while I perform water changes or cleanings. This tank is thoroughly cleaned in between uses and we have used the same tank and cleaner for this purpose for 12 years with not issues ever. After I complelty changed the water and cleaned the inside of the tank i again replaced the water( this time I replaced 95%of the water) so I have not only lost the cost of the product but now add on the time it tool to siphon 60 gallon+45 gallons of water and the cost of replacing that water along with the time it took to do this. After I removed the water and cleaned the tank again I replaced the water added in the appropriate starter product and replaced the turtle and fish. Now let me share with you that my 11 year old has adopted this fish as his own. The turtle was already a member of our family when ge was born in 2010. He had grown extremely attached to both of them. Had being the word of choice here because within 10 hours of using the product both pf them were expired... Deceased ..dead! Not to mention we have had to put our beloved weimerarner dog down within the past 30 days . now my son wakes up less than 10 days from Christmas to discover both his fish and his turtle dead in their tank. The water never cleared up. And it KILLED MY PETS!!! I would have gotten into touch with the seller and worked out a aolutuin to this problem had it not killed them. But with this having happened i had to make sure I took every action necessary to keep anyone else from having this heartbreaking thing happened to them. Yes i know a pet luke a fish or a turtle is not something usually that people get attached to the point of it being tremendously heartbroken when they expire, but if you keep an aquarium weather it is filled with saltwater fish and life or freshwater life , you obviously care enough to take care of them. If you don't you woild not have the time responsibility and love involved in taking the time to care for and make sure they were healthy . that being said i obviously care. My son was invested. The season has brought us a whole lot of heartache this year. Hopefully I can keep this from happening to amyone else Regardless what te of the year it happens. I really hope this helps. Disclosure: I am not a trained scientists however I do try to use the scientific method when it comes to anything that may need fixing or addressing in my life. I tried to produce a hypothesis reguarding why the issues were occurring, then I did the research necessary until I came to a reasonably comfortable position in regards to what was happening. I then did experiments( the tests on the water with the kit - using the chemicals to see reactions and then reading the result ) ( the digital reading on the water and then comparing the result) I tried to eliminate all variables by taking readings( the kit with chemical reactions on day 1 at 9 am & 10pm. Day 2 9 am & 10 pm). The digital tests were preformed after each subsequent test. The results for each one were categorized and compared by not only keeping a journal entry with the data but also photographs due to the tests kit with chemical reaction involving the need to compare the color of the test tube after instructed wait time per test to the color chart the kit provides you with an order to conclude the reading result. Each of the tests ( the chemical cs digital) were within .10 ppm discrepancy and i felt comfortable with that defecit) After the experiment I then did some more reading about what it is that those results mean and how to handle them. The booklet contained in the kit gave some information and when I looked into the given info further in was able to conclude that that information was factually accurate and that I should follow recommend instructions to fix said issue. That lead to me purchasing this product and your know the test. please forgive my massively awful photography skills as I tried to show you the cloudiness of the water and the turtle in the bottom so you can tell just how merky it really was. ( these photos were taken after I had replaced the water the first time. I also included a few photos of the tank when it was clean in the past. Sorry for the novel legnth review however I wanted to disclose as much information as possible. The last photos show little buddy and gilbert( in the bag with all of the other feeder fish) and little buddy with Gilbert a while longer.
