I received my lighter yesterday and was pleasantly surprised to find that it was spot on excellent, (the one I received anyhow). Like some of the other reviews stated, it's a heavy lighter for it's size. I was worried about the reports of it being hard to light...ect I filled the lighter with Ronson fluid, pulled down on the striking lever, let go, it sparked and lit immediately! I wasn't sure if that was just a lucky strike so I tried again, and it lit again. I waited two hours and tried again with the same results. I am very happy with this lighter after buying so many fashion Steampunk style lighters and having terrible results. The lighter is very well made - It is capped when closed so the fluid does not leak out or evaporate, and the striker is an interesting spring design which makes lighting easier rather than "hard to light". Be careful when filling as one of the two screws on the bottom contains a powerful but small spring that keeps the flint loaded. If it catches you by surprise you might be looking on your floor for a time trying to find it. (Fortunately, the lighter comes with a replacement kit including flints ect, the middle, smaller screw is the spring loaded one). I'm not sure what the spinning wheel on the front is all about but I am expecting to find out. This lighter is also durable as I also found out after accidentally dropping the thing on the sidewalk, the wheel spinner on the front popped off but snapped right back in, worked perfectly and without a mark on it. (I do not recommend dropping the lighter though, I probably had some luck here). I will now say Thank You to the manufacturer and craftsmen who designed and made this lighter, it's a good purchase.

Just received and giving to my dad on father's day. Opened up and added fluid so it's ready to go. Also had to open to check quality. Fricken awesome. Perfect gift for a smoker of any kind or just a unique gift for a nonsmoker as a conversation piece. Weight in hand is perfect. Machining is perfect and has a feel of quality. In my scenario, it's the special unique gift for someone that already has everything. Thank you Redbank for making something of quality. Knowing what I know now, I would've paid twice what I was charged. Kudos 👍

This is my favorite lighter! I love the way it feels and how it lights. The spinner part is a really fun addition, and I appreciate that it comes with an extra wick and flint. It’s also a good small size that fits really well in my pocket and not too bulky.

The spinning part of the front goes for a long time. The design looks interesting and nice. It did not function as a lighter. After filling it, the wick would not refill from the lighter fluid reservoir. Even tipping it upside would not cause the fluid to move into the wick. I would have to unscrew and remove the lighter fluid cap and hold it upside down for a minute or more to fill the wick to use it. I was only refunded 75% so it was a waste of my time and money.

It works fine as a lighter, and it is a great conversation piece, but the center part broke off the 1st day I had it. I still use it allot, it still is a working lighter, but if your looking for something that you can use and will not change in appearance from the 1st day you get it, this will not. Like I said, it still works and I still use it.
