Such great VFM and it works!!
This is a brilliant device and such good value for money. I've used it to diagnose problems with my '14 Audi A1 TDI and my daughter's '06 Polo 1.2. Combined with my iPhone running the recommended (free) app this tells me so much more than an OBD scanner I bought recently for £70 and returned. The included instructions are great with details of how to connect BT and recommended Apps. You have the ability to clear error codes too, which is great for testing purposes. This is your cheap and cheerful OBD tool to give you a clue as to why those dashboard lights appear! With my daughter's Polo it informed me of misfires which were easily and cheaply fixed by DIY replacement of Bosch coils bought here on Amazon - saving hundreds of pounds compared to main dealer prices! With my Audi it alerted me to a problem I was oblivious to. It reported a fuel flap locking issue that I had no knowledge of. How many of us check our fuel flap locks OK with the central locking?! Mine wasn't, so I sourced the genuine Audi solenoid/motor lock for £30 and replaced it myself, saving £210 on the price quoted by my Audi main dealer!!! This thing can really save you money. Of course you will probably still be charged for diagnostics at your garage to check issues, unless they take your diagnostics produced with this as read and act accordingly, but that's unlikely. For £25 this is a fabulous tool and should be in every DIY mechanic's toolbox! Actually, I carry mine in the glovebox in my Audi - you never know when those dreaded lights are going to appear on your dash!! Recommended whole heartedly!!

It Works
Have a new electric car (mg5) a faulty charger caused it to refuse to start. Tried every trick from every forum on Google but still stuck miles from home at a charging station. Called the AA out. The software of the car is far too new for their obd systems, although eventually the guy managed to get in through the back door and clear the fault code. Never want that to happen again so after a lot of reading plumped for this nexus unit. Plugged it in and tried it with several obd apps and to my surprise it worked with every single one. Loads of info comes up about the state of the car which to probably most ev drivers is irrelevant but all the fault codes show and can therefore be deleted easily. For me it's a perfect bit of kit for keeping in the car for peace of mind.

Works with Leaf Spy but...
Simple enough to use indeed, and is Leaf Spy compatible. However, and maybe this is a Leaf Spy issue, I could not establish the communication on my Android 12 device, and had to use an old phone running Android 7 for it to work... That said, I am glad that it works as I have tried a few other models before I could get one, at a reasonable price, that could communicate with Leaf Spy. Now I can check what my battery State Of Health really is (Nissan's report being useless).

It foes what it says on the tin, apps cost extra.
The good apps for this come as an extra cost.

Works with Motoscan but with limitations
Bought this to use with Motoscan on my 1200GS. Works well reading and clearing codes but it has its limitations. You can’t code anything with this adapter and it wouldn’t work when I tried to learn a new tyre sensor. I then bought the UniCarscan OBD reader recommended by Motoscan and dialled in the tyre sensor straight away. I was also able to change settings on the dashboard menu with the Uniscan, such as changing pressure readings from Bar to PSI. I would spend more and have all the functions, if I was doing it again. Hope it helps fellow bikers make up their minds.

DO SOME RESEARCH BEFORE YOU BUY
THIS UNIT DIDNT WORK FOR ME, AND IT WAS A TIME CONSUMING WASTED EFFORT THE UNIT WAS ABLE TO CONNECT TO MY IPHONE, BUT WAS UNABLE TO ACCESS MY ECU AT ALL. USING IPHONE MINI 12 AND CAR SCANNER SOFTWARE FROM THE APP STORE THE VEHICLE WAS A FORD CONNECT VAN 2003 SO ITS NOTHING RARE OR EXOTIC I TRIED OTHER SOFWARE PACKAGES FROM THE APP STORE BUT NONE OF THEM (THE FREE ONES) WORKED SO I WAS PUT OFF PAYING THEM, JUST INCASE MORE DISSAPIONTMENT FOLLOWED. THE ONLY POSITIVE THING TO COME OUT OF THIS WAS THAT AMAZON WERE HAPPY TO REFUND ME AND RETURN IT. AFTER READING MANY OF THE REVIEWS I HAVE DECIDED TO GO FOR A SLIGHTLY MORE EXPENSIVE UNIT WITH A BETTER RATING. SO IGNORE THE STAR RATING ON AMAZON GIVEN TO THE NEXAS UNIT BECAUSE IN MY VIEW ITS A NON STAR RATING FROM ME.
