Want adapter for Canon camera w/ 1/4" female to Manfrotto monopod with 3/8" male. Is this the adapter do I need?

Yes, this will work. The RC2 comes with a 1/4 to 3/8 convert screw on the underside that you can remove to make 3/8 female.As found on Amazon, it comes with one of these: http://www.amazon.com/Manfrotto-148KN-Sets-8-Inch-Reducing/dp/B0010CQXDK/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top

The screw that’s screws to the quick adapter is bigger then what the adapter recieves. Any one have any suggestions?

Does this work with a 200pl plate (as opposed to a 200pl-14 plate as listed. i am not sure of the difference)?

The Manfrotto 200pl plate or called the base, set inside of 200pl-14 Quick release base. Buy the 323 RC Manfrotto is the complete system. Unless you want to buy the 200pl single base as a Spare.

Will this work with a MeFoto Roadtrip tripod?

It is compatible with all 1/4" and 3/8" tripod mounts. The 3/8" to 1/4" thread adapter is included. Yes it will be compatible.
