The pockets fit my 16" mattress, no problem. The color is a just as pictured and the set washed just fine and came out of the dryer wrinkle free. They definitely have a soft, luxurious feel to them and the embellished edge makes them appear so as well. I have had expensive, high thread count sheets that I absolutly despised because they felt weighted, and almost damp in a way. They might as well have been because they made me sweat all night. These sheets are a great weight and are breathable. Not so lightweight that you don't know they're there, but they just don't cling to you.
