Gaming mouse pad Raiden New MID series - The smoothness and fast mouse movement might come as a surprise. There is no rattily feeling as a resin product. ARTISAN is a Japanese maker of new generation mousepads for gaming, used in over 50 countries. Its innovations are highly acclaimed. [A tracking surface that blows away all traditional conventions]Traditional mousepads have all used standard tracking surfaces. This diversely multi-use surface balances both "quickness of initial movements and light operability" with "stop ability." With the thin sponge layers in low cost mousepads, it's the same as having none at all. The middle layer is extremely vital. A thickness of 3mm or less doesn't allow the middle layer to function properly. [Smooth gliding not slowed by sweaty palms or humidity] Have you ever experienced heavy gliding due to "sweaty palms or humidity" It's been normal for traditional mousepads to experience heavy gliding due to sweaty palms or humidity. ARTISAN has made "smooth gliding not slowed by sweaty palms or humidity" the "norm." [Mousepad slippage is completely prevented] The world's best non-slip sole. Non-slip functionality on a completely different level. Water washable while maintaining functionality. This technology is on a different level than old and traditional textured non-slip features. Review: Nothing like it - You can't get the combination of speed and comfort with any other mouse pad. This is the only cloth pad that provides this level of speed/friction. If you go with a hard pad then it's loud, scratchy, uncomfortable and it kills your mouse feet. The Artisan Raiden is the only cloth pad I've found that gives the comfort and feeling of a cloth mousepad with the speed of a hard pad. The only downside is that some mouses do not track well with this pad. My Razer Viper Ultimate works fine with it, though. Both the mid and xsoft versions feel good. Artisan makes the best mouse pads on the planet hands down. My two favorites are the Raiden Mid and the Hayate Otsu Soft. The Otsu provides a level of stopping power that feels great with some games while the Raiden has the quick adjustments necessary in others. Keep in mind that the classic versions of the pads don't have stitched edges. The new FX versions do. There were also a few adjustments to the surfaces in the FX versions, so keep that in mind when reading reviews on them. The Raiden didn't see too many adjustments, but I believe the Hayate line did. Keep in mind that the Raiden is soft like cloth, but the surface isn't exactly like the cloth pads you might be used to. It feels like something inbetween a raincoat and a regular cloth pad. That raincoat feeling is what gives the pad its insane speed. You can't get the combination of speed and comfort with any other mouse pad. This is the only cloth pad that provides this level of speed/friction. If you go with a hard pad then it's loud, scratchy, uncomfortable and it kills your mouse feet.
