Do clips come with it?

No they don’t. I bought my clips separately.

No mine didn't but it was really easy to assemble 10 minutes, I just looked at the Pieces, the two feet are telescopic, the long pieces interlock together and attach to the tops of the sides, just tighten the black with nuts to once you got the desired wish & height

Is this suitable for 7x5 Ft backdrops ? Also can you change the size of the frame to fit other backdrops sizes or is it made for just one size?

You can make it smaller by just using 2 poles instead of 3 For the width, I've never used all 3 as it's very wide.

Is this suitable for a 8x6 backdrop?

Yes, it goes to 9feet in width and 6.6 feet in height
