What is the difference between the cartridges with xl and ones without?

The XL gives you about 500 copies and the regular about 210 copies. I love these ink cartridges. I order a box every month. I just use up the color and have a lot of black left over.

What is the shelf life for this ink From the manufacturing date? Is the expiration date on the package?

Each box of ink cartridges does have an expiration date on it. The last box I bought expires in 2021, I will have already used all of these by then. These are a great deal for the price and they work well on my Canon printer.
