The Hawthorne Legacy: The bestselling, addictive, twist-filled mystery and TikTok sensation!: 2 (The Inheritance Games, 2) : Barnes, Jennifer Lynn: desertcart.co.uk: Books Review: What a great continuation of the story! - The game is only just beginning for Avery and the Hawthornes. I love that we get to see more of the world in this book. Hawthorne house is amazing but there's only so far a story can go within four walls! The places they travel to were so idyllic and made me want to visit. The relationships between Avery and, Jameson and Grayson, really evolved in this book in totally different ways. I am big team Jameson, I love how vibrant he is and how he's not afraid to take a risk. But I feel like Avery is going to end up with Grayson in the final book and I'm not here for it! Seeing more of Xander and his friend group was very intriguing. I never know what any of the Hawthorne men are thinking but especially Xander, he seems so happy go lucky but I think there's more to him than we've seen yet. Meeting Max in person was a highlight of the book for me! She is exactly the kind of person Avery needs in her corner. The mystery is getting deeper and the puzzles are getting harder. I can't wait to see what happens in the next book! Review: I stormed through this book! - I stormed through this book! What a fun read! More secrets are being revealed, more games are being played but this time the stakes seemed higher. Also a bit more dangerous situations. Loved it. Loved the chemistry and the little love triangle, but oh the ending! Now off to read book 3:)

When I read The Inheritance Games by Jennifer Lynn Barnes I knew I had read something special. So much so that I was willing to forgo my avoidance of book series and fully invest in Avery Grambs story. As soon as I had finished The Inheritance Games I pre-ordered the sequel โ The Hawthorne Legacy. I hoped that I would enjoy it just as much as the first in the series. I was not disappointed. The story follows on from The Inheritance Games. We follow Avery and the four Hawthorne brothers as they try to solve the puzzle as to why they had been disinherited and Avery โ a stranger โ was left it all. With more danger and drama than The Inheritance Games, Jennifer Lynn Barnes has cleverly begun to slowly peel away at the clues from the original and woven them seamlessly into The Hawthorne Legacy. There are jaw-dropping moments when you realise this. Your brain starts to hurt with just how clever Jennifer Lynn Barnes is at creating mystery and thriller. Needless to say I loved The Hawthorne Legacy and hope beyond hope that there is a third in the series. The Hawthorne Legacy by Jennifer Lynn Barnes is available now.

I can't put this series down!!
The Hawthorne Legacy is the second book in the Inheritance Games trilogy and picked up straight after where book one left us. I can't put this trilogy down and am now starting the final book. Avery has further puzzles to solve along with the Hawthorne brothers - some meant for them, some not. There's some shock revelations in this book and some great twists upon twists upon more twists. This series is so much fun and so addictive and u just can't pull away! My heart went out to Avery and the boys so many times and I feel so sorry for Avery at times being thrust into this life with threats and dangers all around her. I like how it makes you question if being rich is always worth it and how you can end up with so few people who you can really trust. I enjoyed meeting Max in this edition and find her a really fun and quirky character. I couldn't help laughing out loud a few times with her expressions and comments. If you need some escapism and love puzzles and twisty reads you definitely need to read this series!

This was a gift. She loved it, read it twice and made me read the series so we could talk about it. Pretty good.
