It won't be able to reach the temperature you need with this product. It needs to be fired in a kiln to cone 06-05 to be food safe. **Q: Can I just use this over regular paint on mugs and then bake or do I have to go through the whole process of buying underglaze?** A: This glaze needs a 950C firing. Regular paint will be gone at that temperature. You need underglaze **Q: Can you fire this on green ware using the sax underglaze??** A: I would only do this with smaller pieces. **Q: Not planning on firing. Just using it as a seal for a tile project. Will that work?** A: No this is a fire only glaze. You should just use clear spray as a Fixative for tile. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect Clear Glaze – Smooth, Glossy Finish Every Time *by on Reviewed in the United States 10 April 2026* This clear glaze has been a staple in my pottery work. It fires beautifully and gives such a clean, smooth, glossy finish that really lets the clay body or any underglaze details shine through. It applies evenly and consistently, and I’ve had great results with no cloudiness or unexpected defects. I also love how it enhances textures and carvings without overpowering them.Super reliable and easy to work with—definitely a must-have if you’re looking for a quality clear glaze for your pieces! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works well. *by on Reviewed in the United States 19 October 2026* Good. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Clear Glaze *by on Reviewed in the United States 26 February 2026* Has worked perfectly so far. Don't listen to some of the other bad reviews - those are from people who don't know how to use ceramic glazes. This is for low fire pottery. If you properly fire it in a kiln, it'll come out great. Perfectly glossy and smooth with an even finish when you do 3+ coats. ## Frequently Bought Together - Sax 229173 True Flow Gloss Glaze - 1 Pint - Natural Clear, 16 Fl Oz (Pack of 1) - Sax - 416914 True Flow Gloss Glaze, Snow White, 1 Pint - Sax True Flow Gloss Glaze, Red, 1 Pint - 406312 --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.id/products/258372310-true-flow-gloss-glaze-1-pint-natural-clear](https://www.desertcart.id/products/258372310-true-flow-gloss-glaze-1-pint-natural-clear) --- *Product available on Desertcart Indonesia* *Store origin: ID* *Last updated: 2026-10-27*
