A bit too small but amazing inside
It arrived with no damage.The largest version of this book is better but also way too big. I think it also has more text and the pages feel amazing to touch (laminated too?). But it’s very expensive. This smaller version is still very informative, beautiful, no complains about the thickness of the paper either. The images are high quality and I really like everything in it. It’s amazing what the author did in his time to collect all this information, that’s what makes this book impressive and I’m very happy that the publisher made an affordable version of it. I was expecting it to be a bit larger than the size it has but I got used to it and kept it.

Illustrazioni bellissime
Il libro è bellissimo ed è un must have per chi sia appassionato di storia del costume, non tanto per il commento (ci sono volumi che approfondiscono maggiormente, benché di norma siano più settoriali) quanto per le illustrazioni magnifiche. Unica piccola pecca: il libro ha un certo peso a causa del suo spessore è della tipologia di carta usata, quindi è comodo da leggere in casa, meno da portare in giro.

The book is quite heavy for it's medium size. Page after page of glorious, colorful images, some in black and white. A treasure trove of history. Just by learning the period costumes one can guesstimate the era. A great addition to any library!

Un tesoro que no podemos dejar de mirar
Es un tesoro. De dimensión reducida y no incluye todo el texto de la edición inicial (porque habría sido casi inviable) pero incluyes cientos de láminas a color, otras tantas en blanco y negro, y anotaciones sobre el contenido de cada una de ellas.Lo hemos mirado todos los miembros de la familia durante horas. A los niños les ha encantado.Cada sección o capitulo lleva una introducción que explica lo que se sabía sobre las vestimentas de esas gentes de otros paises y momentos históricos, así como los cambios sociales que llevaron a los cambios de estilo. Un libro precioso y a un precio adsequible
