Non-GMO, Thunder Acres Premium Wheat Seed, Cat Grass Seed, Wheatgrass, Hard Red Winter Wheat (1 lbs.)

I bought 4 varieties of cat grasses from this vendor. They were all prepared at the same time in the same way using the same soil mix. A sample was frozen overnight, then soaked in room temperature water for 24-hours, then finally spread over the soil mixture and then loosely covered with about 2 cm of soil. I have attached 2 pictures of the particular grass reviewed (Wheat) and also two pictures of all of the grasses together in their separate containers (wheat, 2 x rye, barley and oats) . They rye sample was planted identically in two different containers to see if that made a difference - which it didn't - which rules out any differences due to containers. What you see here is about one week of growth. All were planted in the same density so the differences in pattern are not due to planting one more densely than the others. The wheat is astounding - covering the entire growth area with no bare patches whatsoever. The oat grass is the least dense and vigorous variety. The barley seed seems to attract animals outside to dig holes in the mixture and also climb into the container and mat down the grass. and the rye grass is in between the vigor of the wheat and oat. All containers were grown in the same area so the only reason why animals would prefer to dig up and sit on one container and ignore the other 4 is due to the grass itself. I'm leaving the exact same text for all reviews, but the stars will differ. The photos of the specific grass will be only attached to the specific review but the photos of all 4 varieties will be in all. There is no feedback left for flavor because I didn't taste them myself and the grass is still to new for my cats to be comfortable with it. They are curious and sniff at it, but they still both prefer to eat the regular grass on my lawn. However, all of these purchased grasses are now at the stage where cats can eat them. All 4 varieties are great with the wheat in my particular order astounding. I bought the largest quantities available from this for each which was 10bs each of barley, oats, and wheat and 5lbs of rye. Look up the other Thunder Acres varieties if you are interested in the particular pictures of that particular seed.

The seeds are very good quality. They germinated quickly and evenly and are perfect for growing fresh wheatgrass at home. I harvest at about 7–8 cm and make morning juice before breakfast. Clean, odorless, and well packaged. This is my second purchase and I will buy again.

Clean seeds that grow fast and full

My cat is indoor only. I know he misses the digestive aid of eating grass, but I was getting tired of spending untold dollar amounts at pet stores for a tiny 2 or 3 inch pots of grass. I have been using Thunder Acres grass for over a year, growing various pots and dishes for him. He loves it, and so do I. Cost effective, easy, fast growing and tasty (I'll take his word for it).

For some reason, I had some bare spots in my postage stamp of a lawn, and my cat loves to eat grass, so why not plant some that's okay for him to eat, i.e., that he won't throw back up...inside my home? I had had good results with this grass seed before, so I tried it again. However, I forgot that I had an aerator until after I put down the seed and the soil on top of the seed (no, I'm not a green thumb!). I planted the day before rain was expected, with sun expected the day or so after that. I aerated somewhere in there. I also noticed that the birds and the squirrels seemed to be digging in that area and eating something. I wasn't too optimistic. It turns out that my fears were off base, for lo and behold, a couple of weeks later, like a crew cut, the baby grass started growing!

Good seeds...wonderful grass for the cats.

Really good stock. Just about every seed sprouted, and took root. The cats love this, and are constantly chewing on it and laying in it. We used a planter box to plant this, and we have six cats. It's still doing great.
