You will see that after filling it up. The entire jug wiggles and will collapse inward if something is on top. However, for simple water storage and portability, that is what is seems to be designed for. So far have 1 filled for about 9 months and it does not leak. The 2nd one is still in its folded position waiting the day I will need it.
