How long does it take for the smell to go away or decrease? I have had them out 2 days now and house smells like burnt chemical plastic.

I used in my baby room and I didn't had any problem with the smell or a list anything crazy

is there total of two straight edges or are there two for each edge?

Each tile has removable strait edges.

Are these safe to put down on LVP flooring?

I don't know what you mean by "safe," but they work on any flat floor.

Will these slip on wood floors?

If they are dusty, probably . A nice clean substrate will keep these from Slipping if not covered across the whole floor.
