iHOME iBTW38 Wireless Charging Bluetooth Alarm Clock,Black

This is my second IHome - I have had my other IHome since they first made it like 20 years ago and it still works - the reason I’m upgrading is because of the phone charger doesn’t fit the newer iPhones to charge my phone. However it still works perfectly!!!! So I bought this new IHome! ******This isn’t as bad as the previous reviews say!!!! So, I am not sure where most people are having issues with this alarm clock. I LOVE IT. I received this product yesterday. Upon opening the box, it was exactly as listed. I’ve seen many reviews talking about it was confusing to set up. If you READ THE INSTRUCTIONS STEP BY STEP, it’s a piece of cake. Had it set up in a matter of minutes. Relatively easy beings the “clock set” button is located directly on the back. The blue tooth pair without an issue. The clock display is very bright and easy to read. Setting the alarms, also, no hassle at all as long as you read the instructions. The 2 alarms woke me up perfectly!! The charger didn’t take anything special. Without a case it picked up my phone instantly. We tried my husbands phone which has a life proof case on and had to slowly move it around until it picked up the phone. If you take a realistic approach you won’t have an issue with this alarm clock. READ the instructions and know if something is in the way, the charger either will need to find the phone if at all if you charge your phone using the wireless charge option. A case MAY hinder the wireless charging. If anything changes, I will update my review but so far this is been a nifty alarm clock. Thank you!!!

ive been using this product daily for many months now, and overall, its very good the sound quality is good, the alarms are good (but difficult to figure out how to reset after you've set them for the first time) it has two charging methods which i use simultaneously with two different types of phones, both are android. i use a samsung s8 on the wireless charging pad and an older LG for the USB cord method. I am using bluetooth with spotify on my Samsung every single night. Only issue with this, is I have reconnect every night, by pressing and holding the bluetooth button on the machine and also restarting my bluetooth on my phone, for it to register after a day of being apart from one another. This is okay, it's become part of my nightly routine, but I wish i didn't need to do it. One other issue, and this is the biggest one. My phone sometimes does not fully charge (its a brand new phone with no issues) on the wireless charging pad. it has to be placed PERFECTLY on top of the charging pad (and sometimes it takes a long time to get it to start charging perfectly). this may be due to my phone being in a case. (this case is very light, and not heavy duty/thick) but it's also a great annoyance. because i not want to take my phone out of it's case every night to charge it (with the potential for it to fall off during the night and break. -- i am a violent sleeper ... ) my phone continuously only charges to 87% when it's on this wireless charging. I am not sure if this is due to it using bluetooth to play my music through the machine every night, but ALMOST every morning I wake up with my phone only half charged. some times it fully charges it, but most nights it doesn't. Once again, i'll stress that this is not an issue with the phone, as it fully charges everywhere else, but this machine. maybe i got a faulty speaker, or maybe not, but it works great with everything else. i really REALLY love the 'dim' feature. the lights of the screen are completely turned off when i want them to. and this is the most important feature for me, (which is ridiculously hard to find these days for some reason) I would reccomend, for future products of this machine, that it returns to a docking station, rather than using bluetooth and wireless charging. I honestly don't think it works well and would love to buy a machine without the need to use wireless or bluetooth. Overall, this product is good. I am happy with it, but I have to remain cautious when using it, and for the price, I would suggest you fix these issues.
