Iron melts at 2795Β°F, 4.5 times the 621.5Β°F melting point of lead. Any lead present in the Iron during manufacture is boiled away. Two unlikely means for the item to contain lead are 1) use it to melt lead and 2) decorate it with leaded paint. Duh! **Q: Is it durable? I want to go camping and barbecue with my friends.
