It will tell you how to use the tester. Where the tester lead cables are inserted. Where to turn the dial to do the specific test. You will find that the leads are inserted in the bottom right and left corners of the tester. The dial is turned so that it points to ACV and 250 to test for 120 volts. Leads are inserted into the outlet and the tester should display 120-125 volts approximately or the midway point on the display. I would find the manual first, read and understand it prior to using it. Electricty is dangerious. **Q: Could I use the standard leads from another meter on this unit⁷** A: If you don't have a direct fit, it should be possible to splice into the plugs that come with this unit.
