This minion Magic 8 Ball measured 2.5" across, a standard lacrosse ball measured 2.5" across, a standard tennis ball measured 2.75" inches across, a hardball (baseball) measured 3.0" across and the original Magic 8 ball 4.0" across - I do not have a soft ball therefore am unable to provide that measurement but am guessing that it would be similar to the original Magic 8 Ball -- Mattel and Amazon, take some pride in representing the product!
