I love the feel of these strings and only change out the set every three to four months or as needed. They give me the same sound as regular steel but with the tape wound feel. **Q: Anyone use these on a 35" scale jackson spectra js3v? i see a reviewer mentioning the low b was too short for their 35" bass.** A: I use on a Yamaha Nathan East BBNE2 long scale **Q: What is the difference in sound between the nickel & stainless steel?** A: Nickel strings have slight different feel than stainless and stainless seems to have a brighter tone. Just my opinion. **Q: Is the B string tapered?** A: No, if you are looking for a gradual tapered B the Labella I found to be great on my 6 string bass - so I bought another 6 string set (5ves were hard to find at the time) and put them on my 5. Perfect tension feel and very good sound. The elixirs are great on my Nathan East Yamaha BBNE2. Second in line are actually Ernie Ball strings! Nice mid and slightly easier on the fingers and frets!
