Simple but effective
It's a simple tool but I couldn't manage to remove my aligners without it. I have broken my nails and still have trouble if I don't use the pul tool.

Gotta Get Those Things OUT!
This is my second review of an aligner tool (I bought more than one) and my review is similar for both, with a small difference in performance. If you have recently started clear aligner orthodontics and, like me, have experienced the panic of thinking you won't be able to remove your trays from your mouth then click ADD TO CART right now! I've tried two different brands so far and they seem somewhat similar, with this brand edging out the other by a small margin. I was having a heck of a time removing my aligners (my orthodontist gave me no advice other than to use my fingernails or a new/clean pedicure tool that had a hook-like apparatus on the end (really doc?) The first option (fingernails) didn't work at all (it just tore my nails to shreds and didn't even budge the aligners) and the second (pedicure tool) cut my gums to shreds in the process (the pedicure tool was metal!) and was still not a perfect solution. Thanks to the world wide web I found aligner removal tools. HEAVEN SENT! I've still cut my gums with the other brand (seriously folks, my aligners are TIGHT!) but it's much more rare and not as dramatic. I'm giving this tool four stars rather than five due to lack of value. The price is a little steep (not outrageous or anything, but it's a tiny piece of plastic with a hook on the end (basically a crochet hook with a round handle at the base) for what you're getting, but the fact is, if you have aligners, you need it, so order it! Haha! TIPS: 1. If you're having a hard time removing your trays even WITH the tool, try tiny little pulses of pressure rather than one hard pull. 2. Additionally you can cut/file a tiny place on the outer edge of your aligner, towards the back as a divot for the tool to find purchase. Your orthodontist can do this for you, or if you decide to do it (I did!), be sure to be VERY careful (look it up online and watch a tutorial first) because if you cut too much you run the risk of cracking your tray and thus setting back your treatment schedule. 3. Buy three tools total. I have one at home, carry one in my purse and have a third as backup (but for some people the third would be kept at the office). I bought this set and another which was two tools for a little under 10 dollars rather than this single for a little under five dollars and found this tool to be slightly more user friendly than the other brand. BOTTOM LINE: Buy an aligner tool today!
