I have an adaptive 18watt wall charger that I pair with this cable. I had to do a factory reset on my Quest 2 to make it charge right, because Meta, but I finally got it charging properly with this cable. I can actually sit and watch the charge level go up in the Oculus home menu. It even retains its charge over PCVR Airlink. I played for at least 5 hours the other day only to close Airlink and find that it was still at 93% charge. The cable is also pretty tough. I'm always rolling over it with my chair, but I've never had a problem with it. I know the ends of cables tend to be weak points, so I keep pressure off of the ports. I have my cable plugged into the headset and run it around the back and through the headstrap so the port never gets torqued. So I can't speak to how resilient the ends of the cable will be. The cable feels beefy as a whole, though. I tried one of those dual port PC link cables and it didn't seem great. I think a step up from just using this cable would be to add a C-type card with 18watt charging to my PC and plug it into that. Then I could probably play wired PCVR too and still keep a good charge.

disconnected within 5 min and until it disconnected it was all shuddering missing frames had it plugged in for 5 min and realized my old cord was 100 times better don't waste your money also tested at 1.9 mbs

consistently have to unplug it and plug it back into my vr headset, as well as deal with minor screen flickering on the headset itself- but those are the only issues i've had since i got it. still useable and WAY better than the one oculus sells themselves. also shut a door on it on accident a few days ago but it didn't seem to have any issue with that....the cord's just a little bent now

I just picked up an Oculus Quest 2 because I didn't have a Type C port on my computer. One thing to remember is you MUST have at least a 3.0 gen1/2 USB port on your rear motherboard I/O (for better data speeds compared to front I/O), otherwise you might run into bandwidth limitations. This cable works great as a Link cable, and is plenty long enough for all types of experiences! It's really thin so I'm worries about longevity and it would be a nice touch if Oculus would've included a mounting clip for the cable so there isn't any stress of the cable weighing down the port on the headset, but having a thinner cable is also useful when factoring the added weight on the front of your head for longer sessions. Considering the fact that it's less than half the price of the officially supported link cable, it works great! Charges quickly enough too, so while I'm tethered, I don't have to worry about the 2-3 hour battery life as much. That being said, due to the limits of the cable, I doubt visual fidelity will increase as Oculus optimizes the Link for PC VR experiences. It's limited by the generational limitation that this type of USB has, and the lesser data transfer rates compared to Type-C and/or the future standards of USB. But for what it is, it works. Definitely a great purchase and was cheaper than getting the Type-C to Type-C and a PCI card for a Type-C input.
