It fits much like a medium Dickies jacket, though MUCH longer, and a tad more room in the belly. THE CHEST AND ARMS ARE TRIM(and sharp looking) Most brands of mens jackets are tailored like maternity clothes for huge beer bellies. Stay away from this unless your BMI is in a normal range. If you pump iron, the sleeves may be too snug, though they are a generous length, which was important to me. Indeed, only those people with long arms should consider one of these. If the sleeves fit me, they are too long for 3/4 of the population. Many coats have shockingly massive waists, but feature sleeves for T Rex arms. IF YOU ARE FIT AND TRIM, IT IS A FABULOUS FIT. If I had been busier, I could unzip the parka and hoodie to regulate temperature. I needed water resistance and greater coverage, and got it. I wanted a traditional look, and got it. I am pleased with the sewing, pockets, and smooth zipper. I liked several colors, though a few are eyesores. It requires layering to be sufficient in low temps, unless burning serious calories. It appears far warmer than the actuality.
