This is a great awl. It fits well in one's hand and it is a very solid tool, exactly what I would expect from Klein Tools. It has an excellent shape and is extremely sharp.

What's not to like about Kline tools? They're simply the best. You may pay a little more but you get a lot more. Like this "scratch awl" which I purchased for making pilot holes for nails or screws. The handle is the high quality I've come to expect from Kline. The point is dangerously sharp (watch out), just like I want. That way it makes pilot holes with little effort. For strength, it seems almost indestructable. I sometimes twist or try to bend it in the hole to make the hole bigger. I've never bent it.
